Harvey A. Sauer's Online Review Report Card

I won’t call him a doctor, he doesn’t deserve the title. Caused my wife to bleed for weeks, said it was normal from a stent placement. Not her first overall, and this was the only one that bled. He will not answer questions if you’re not the patient, regardless of if you are the healthcare proxy or husband. My wife has cognitive issues and he threatened to call the cops if I didn’t go to the waiting room while the stent was removed. I wanted answers to questions, claimed I was “threatening” him. He is an arrogant piece of trash, no compassion, no understanding. I’ve filed a complaint with the health department and will be retaining a lawyer. I can not stress this enough, DO NOT use him as a doctor, and avoid AMP in general.

Dr. Sauer’s office was called 3 days in a row regarding a Foley catheter removal. My calls were never returned. As a result I had a urinary infection. Another physician gave the ok to remove the catheter. I was then treated for the infection . I never heard from Dr. Sauer.

if you value your life dont go to this doctor. dont even let him biopsy you, my father has been bleeding for weeks after the procedure and dr (if you can call him that) sauer didnt even bother to see him. the nurse practitioner is very nice, but ive never met more UNprofessional doctor in my life - he has ZERO compassion. If you think he will care because he is your doctor think again, youd be even lucky to see him and when he talks its with such demeanor like you owe him something.. were in the process of switching doctors because my dad would rather die than be touched by dr harvey sauer ever again

I have another surgen fixing his mistake.

I was a stone former. I passed a stone every time I urinated. When his predecessor retired Dr. Sauer suggested surgery. He attempted robotic but due to the volume of bladder stones he had to open me . The surgery went very well but the follow up was nonexistent. In 3 years I saw him one time, his NP did the prostate exams and I recently learned that on my last visit she discovered a nodule , he never told me or verified her finding. I am now with another Urologist. Oh yes, he id a robotic prostatectomy on a friend , he changes his diaper 3 times a day.

No bedside manner. If you are sick and in pain GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Been dealing with the same kidney stone for 8 months. Had 2 surgeries, 2 stents and still have the same stone. Scheduling appointments and dealing with his arrogance contributes to your pain and suffering. Go somewhere else!

My experience has been very good with Dr Sauer. He has been treating me for Kidney cancer for just short of a year. He operated robotically on my kidney and I could not have been more pleased. The surgery was so simple with that method and I was back home after only one overnight in Crouse. Also the healing was so much quicker then the traditional surgery method. Dr. Sauer was very thorough in his presurgery examinations and subsequent follow ups. So far I am very pleased with his expertise.

I have been under Dr. Sauer's medical care for over 3 years. I've always been satisfied with the treatment he has provided and trust his knowledge and surgical recommendations. He has a solid medical and nursing staff. For the reviewers that have left negative comments about his poor bedside manner, I have one question: if you had to choose between a good bedside manner or a technically superior surgeon, which is more important?

After Dr Sauer examined me on his table, he looked up and said "Your bladder isn't working any more, and there is nothing I can do to help you." He then stood up and left the room. I was in awe! I have since found another very competent urologist who is helping me. I had surgery 2 weeks ago, and am feeling much better. Would you feel confident going to Dr Sauer????
