List of Hendrik Uyttendaele's Reviews
Excellent. Looked after my condition well and treated me calmly, caringly and professionally.
Very impersonal and dismissive. He's in way over his head in this profession because I truly got the impression that he lacks compassion for his patients. Why become a medical doctor of dermatology if you don't want to deal with the public? That's how it seemed, seriously. He seemed rushed and irritated with me. Not a good bed-side manner at all, if any.
My spouse saw Dr. Uyttendaele for symptoms of eczema. Dr. Uyttendaele then did a completely unnecessary biopsy, as we already knew it was eczema and just needed to be seen for treatment. When prescribing my spouse medication, he prescribed barely enough for a small child, no where near enough for a grown man, basically ensuring we’d have to return to spend more money on more medication. This guy is a complete quack doctor and I wouldn’t even recommend him to my worst enemy!
Dr Uyttendaele is an exceptional Doctor of dermatology. I have been his patient for better than 30 years in his practice. The professionalism of everyone on his staff is exceptional.
I was a patient for many years... Finally made the switch. I was a Psoriasis patient... 15 years.. Dr Uyttendaele was Terrible. He hardly ever came close to me and very few times actually looked at my skin... most always sat across the examining room... On one occasion he went on vacation with no Dr filling in.. My script expired and without medication my psoriasis came back so much worse Also Don’t see this Dr...
Dr. Uttendaele is amazing, thoughtful, sincere, extremely knowledgeable. I recommend him to everyone.
Dr U’s congenial & perfectly competent. My issue was with billing.BEWARE: the practice as a whole is REALLY expensive, & accounting-wise, opaque. They seem to create charges randomly- like a nightmarish home contractor. For example, I was billed $200 for my appt, i hadn’t been in for a while($150 fee otherwise). It’s NOT like extra $50 fee got me an overall skin check or something. Was out of his office in @6 mins.My bill...$333! Unannounced biopsy +$235! OUCH Go elsewhere if possible!
Absolutely no compassion, empathy, or "bedside manner". Very pompous and made me feel like he was doing me a favor by seeing me. Did not thoroughly explain my condition, and spent no more than five minutes with me on all my appointments. Based on my experience, I honestly don't feel that he cares about his patients and is more like a robot than a doctor. I'm a senior citizen and have been to lots of doctors in my lifetime... this one gets a thumbs down!!!
when finally I was scheduled with a Doctor not a PA, he spent 12 minutes with me !
We are very blessed to have this doctor in our area. During a routine yearly skin check he noticed something no else ever caught. He recommended I take my son for an endocrine workup. Dr. Uyttendaele was spot on, the results are back and my son will begin taking a medication. Had he not noticed & explained certain things that have been obvious for years, my son's health would have rapidly deteriorated. So we went in for a skin check & came out with my son's life saved. No other doctor ever told us what these signs could mean and it turns out Dr. Uyttendaele was correct. I would highly recommend him as one of the most intelligent and caring doctors in our entire area.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
