NOT SO GOOD HAD SEEN DR NICHOLS DID TESTING AND NO INFO. AFTER CALLING HE SENT A LETTER ABOUT ANGLES NO FURTHER INFO. A FRIEND SAID THATS GLAUCOMA. SO I MADE APPT AND GOT DR PALMIERO. HE KEPT POKING MY FACE AND SHOWED CONTEMPT FOR THE OLD PEOPLE IN THE HALLWAY. NEVER GOT FULL EXPLANATION LEFT AS BEFORE. NOW I GO AND DR ESPASITO SAYS I HAVE GLAUCOMA CATARACTS RETNA PROBLEM. DID THIS HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. BY THE WAY TESTING NOW DONE BY STAFF NOT THE DOCTOR. I FELT NOW THEY WERE BUILDING A CASE FOR SURGERY MAYBE NOT NEEDED. I TOLD THEM ABOUT VIT D DEF FINALLY TESTED BY MD. ALSO THE PLACE IS PACKED ON FRIDAYS BY NURSING HOME RESIDENTS. SOME NOT AWARE OF WHERE THEY WERE. GO FIGURE

Dr. Palmiero provided consultation and surgery for my cataracts. He is incredibly personable and inspires complete confidence. I felt he had all the time in the world for my care and questions. He provided all the information and guidance I needed; based on facts and statistics. He and his team were delightful from arrival, through prep and the surgery, to my departure. My care was managed impeccably.

Dr. Palmiero is amazing! Very thoughtful and patient and explains everything fully in a way that you can understand and gives you all of your options. He is an excellent surgeon.

I had my yearly eye exam early in Spring with an optometrist for my new contact lenses. During exam, I was informed my eye pressure was slightly elevated. After havong further testing optometrist diagnosed me with very early glaucoma. After doing a little research, I saw that many people recommended having a second opinion with a glaucoma specialist. Looking at reviews and who was in my insurance plan, I was fortunate to see Doctor Palmiero very promptly. After he gave me a much more in-depth eye exam, he informed me that I did not have glaucoma but ocular hypertension which at some point could become glaucoma. Because I have risk factors which includes family history of glaucoma, and bad nearsightedness, I am now being treated as precautionary and preventative. Knowing that Dr Palmiero has Fellowship training in glaucoma, I feel like I definitely am in the right hands. He explained everything to me very clearly and also explained the proper way to do the eye drop medication so that it is most effective for lowering my eye pressure. I was so relieved that I went for a second opinion with Dr. Palmiero and that I do not have glaucoma yet, and I'm hopeful that I can prevent myself from developing it under the great care of Dr. Palmiero.

I went to Dr Palmeiro after an extremely bad experience with Dr Nichols and was considering not staying with Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons after the terrible experience with Dr Nichols.
