Dr. Willy Ky's Online Review Report Card

I checked the reviews first then I picked this eye doctor. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed at this place. I am a new patient here. I made the appointment at least one month before. But they just called my insurance company to find out the plan when I there. The front desk lady told me she was unable to reach out to my insurance company, she asked me to put $150 deposit to see the doctor first. I asked her, why don’t you check it when I make the appointment a month ago? Then I wasted much time here waiting her to call. Very unprofessional. Finally she got the info from the insurance company and that I need to pay the 20% co-insurance in about 30 mins. She requested me to put $150 deposit again for the 20% co-insurance. That is a very weird requirement. I never had this experience before. Other doctor offices always bill me after I visited the doctor. I don’t know if it is legal to do that. I will find out with 311. I really don’t like this weird & unprofessional place. Then I left. It wasted half of my day for nothing.

We went to Dr. Willy Ky today for my kid's eye examination. Office is clean, staff are nice. They were busy but very organized. Dr Ky is professional, patient, efficient and answered all my questions clearly. We would definitely recommend him.

Doctor is very nice, however the front desk sylvia is very rude and unprofessional.

所有抱怨等很久，看完医生就赶你走的评价完全没有逻辑，首先你看医生要么因为你不舒服了需要找出问题，要么因为你没有症状想要知道自己有没有问题，在一个医生可以高效发现问题，快速给出解决方案的时候，你应该庆幸，庆幸问题普通可以解决，庆幸你是健康的，所有人都在抱怨在等了这么久之后医生很快就看完了，恭喜你，都是小问题或者没问题，也恭喜你找了个这么有效率的医生。等得久是因为别人的问题需要解决，也因为明事理的病人多，找纪医生的病人多，纪医生的专业性是不容置疑的。

I have to agree to VC's review. The services used to be very good but has deteriorated lot. Doc used to spent time on examination, now evertthing is rushed. And he look very tired now too. Expect to wait at least 45 minutes even if you have the first appointment. The point that i agree most with VC and very like to differ from Dr. Ky is that most doctors and dentist in Flushing have very "SUBPAR" services. Just google any doc in Flushing. Good luck finding someone with 4 starts, nevermind "AMAZING." Even doctors that are decent good, the wait time is still long and most often with very unpleasant front desk. The reality is this is the norm with going to doctors in Flushing.

He was good when he just opened his own practice at the previous location. Back then I was actually pleasantly surprised to find a good one based on various negative experience with doctors in Flushing. As time passes, the service deteriorated. His staff is no longer nice or considerate. He himself no longer spends time and answers questions patient has. They don’t take time to check everything as they used to do. My last appointment was a complete rush (I was the 2nd last patient) and he just brushed off my questions and quickly sent me off in a few minutes. Will NOT go back. It is a sad truth that many doctors in Flushing only provide “good” service to build a patient base. Once they thought they built their reputation, service is just a word in dictionary. ------------------------------- After reading the response from doc, I dare to differ – as mentioned in my review, most doctors/dentists in Flushing I’ve encountered as well as by people I know provide services that are subpar, far from “amazing”. I have quite a few reviews about them in Yelp. Unfortunately your service is following their steps. Anyone can google doctors/dentists in Flushing for reviews – most ratings are LOW. I used to go to Flushing due to many of them have weekend hours. Not anymore. I’d rather go to Manhattan for a good doctor/dentist on a weekday –my health and my copay deserve spectacular service.

It was my first time visit. The staff was very nice and Dr. Ky is excellent.

You have to wait a longer than an hour see the doctor even when you go to office 15 mins earlier. This doctor is not that great as well as he is not informative and rushes you out.
