Madison York Assisted Living's Online Review Report Card

A brutally honest review from a Sagittarius... Madison York Rego Park congregate Care level 3 is regulated as a drain stop to catch society's troubled outcasts before their hitting rock bottom. I give administrator Deana Sollitto kudos, especially during coronavirus of which she handled adroitly and resiliently, including the subsequent staffing and supply issues it wrought. In my 5 years living there, the moment she became aware of how deadly a traumatic brain injury I suffered, she stuck tight to the rule of law. I have great empathy for her. TBH,I've never been around this many truly disabled, but as well, unrealistic residents: substance abusers a few former convicts and the emotionally disturbed and congenitely homeless They can be an overbearing difficult demanding population of which to deal. They cannot even help themselves and present great difficultly to an overburdened system. The very reason why there's no other place to house them. I am highly ambitious and managed to keep my head above water and administration stayed out of my way and allowed me to become the hugest success! I will never regret my choice of assisted livings! Living there I became an astoundingly functioning guy with permanent brain damage!🤯💪 My PCP calls me Robocop. It's the greatest second chance at life I could ever be afforded. Work hard for your independency and dream big and you could expect for it to become reality.There will always be a significant pride, fondness and longing in my heart for every single one of the magnificent staff. 💓 😢 We will always be family, albeit a dysfunctional one.💯 11/23 I must amend this review. Once again the beautiful person gracious authentic Barbara Costellano helped to ground me and guided me on my chosen road of Independence, along with the wondrous Oksana Sirotta, who told me what I needed to hear upon my first arrival on August 12th 2017, not what she thought I wanted to hear. She gave me much needed tough love. I owe you a huge debt of gratitude, That's so reason why I always genuflect to you. I'll always love and adore and cherish you both. You are an integral part of my second chance at life and my amazing success story. I'm not trying to hurt anyone, just help myself. And thank you Mr Beanstock for being an Observational Jew, Just when I was starting to lose hope and faith in the world and humanity. You went out of your way along with Mr Klein to give me a second chance at life. I was supposed to be institutionalized for my entire life. And you both took a huge chance on a guy with severe permanent brain damage. OMFG! And now I am what I am because you cast on me God's light when I was in pure darkness and pure white light is love capable of becoming any color of the rainbow In the beautiful melting pot of New York City, which I love with every ounce of my being. Everyday you're both in my thoughts and prayers. And one day I want to grab you both and hug you tightly. There's a place in God's kingdom for all of us. We rightfully earned it. Have been here unfortunately for 2 years and not for much longer. Dirty hallways filled with open garbages allowing breeding grounds for flies and roaches. Food is rarely cooked enough and residents go hungry or get sick and goto hospital to eat for few days to get healthy again. Milk is always sour/spoiled as they leave it out to get hot and consolidate containers. Their staff treat us as subhuman and take advantage of many that don't have friends or family to check on them. Mistake coming here and I cannot stress this point anymore but if you care for your family or loved ones, then do not send them here.

I worked as a nurse supervisor at this facility and it was an excellent 1.5 years experience. My fellow nurses always went the extra mile to promote the health care quality of the residents. It's not just a job for our staff, it is compassion and genuine care. For the interdisciplinary team, high standards of care is the mission that drives their day to day work. I will always consider Madison York a first home for my nursing career and will always miss the wonderful residents whom I care about a lot.

My experience of Madison York Rego Park for more than 12 years has been excellent. Whenever I have needed support or information from the staff and director Deanna S they were always professional, quick, and very detailed in their response. I would recommend Madison York without hesitation.

My name is Anthony Johnson I am into my third year here at this facility. I arrived here at the beginning of the worst pandemic in New York City history. With sickness and death occurring everywhere I found an oasis here at this assisted living facility. I was totally Impressed by the level of attention paid to the safe-guarding of the residents as directed. Such as, the wearing of protective gear by the staff, continuous sanitizing of all things touchable, mandatory wearing of masks and social distancing protocols. I recently was asked the question “ How do I like living here ?” My response was “I like it here “ the reasons I gave were: a) I feel safe and secure b) I get served 3 nutritious meals plus snacks daily. c) my room is cleaned daily by the housekeeping staff, d) my laundry is picked up weekly cleaned and returned nicely folded We have Aides who personally see to our daily well-being.There are the nurses and their assistants, a physical therapist, along with a dynamic recreational Director. This facility, Madison York in Rego Park, is administered skillfully under the leadership of Ms Deana Sollitto. What is there not to like?!

I would like to applaud Ms Dina Sollitto And her wonderful staff from Madison York - Rego Park for keeping the residence safe and healthy during the most horrific experience of our lives -the COVID-19 pandemic. With what seemed like a Herculean task, Ms Solito worked tirelessly on weekends & late into the evenings to ensure a clean, safe & tiptop environment for the residents & staff of Madison York - Rego Park. We all owe a debt of gratitude for our health & well-being to Ms Sollitto & her excellent staff at Madison York. Thank you one million times over!! Carol Bonagura

I've been working with this facility for a few months now and see firsthand how it's professionally run and managed. I'd trust them with the care of a loved one. A great place to work as well.

As a seven year resident of Madison York, Rego Park, I can speak honestly. Firstly, the administrator is a warm, loving and very professional leader. She runs an open door policy and greets residents and visitor with a cup of coffee and a smile. Sure, there is room for improvement at our home, but M/Y is a work in progress. There are brand new bathrooms, an updated dining hall and more changes on the way. The food surely needs changing. The staff is caring and hardworking, and most everyone is on a first name basis, as we are family. There are indoor and outdoor activities every day and we are located one bus stop away from Queens mall. If you or someone you love needs assistance, come on by and take the tour of our home. As for bugs and rodents, not here. I would not live in a home with Vermin. Drop in anytime, I'm sure Ms. Sollitto would love to see you and give you the tour.

This place is the worst ever. If you love your loved one stay away from this place. The director Deana is the worst human I ever met even her staff doesn't care for her . My family came to this place to help my mom with every day care such as helping her with shot for diabetes Instead she rob of everything and almost died at hands of this place. The director was aware of the issues for 4 weeks and refused to do anything. Mean time my mother almost died. Please if you love your family stay far away from this place. What's worse is there is no staff after 5pm who is medically trained or can give CPR. No aid in this location is certified either. I can go on and on about the reasons you need to stay clear of this place. I brought my mom back home and she has recovered from her health issues Madison York caused. All I'm saying is please continue to look elsewhere.
