My daughter had chronic allergic reactions and we could not figure out the causes. Doctor Permaul did a great job at figuring out what to test for, and advised us on how to successfully manage her allergies after diagnosing them. She also always addresses my concerns, and really respects what I have to say. Reviewers who felt she did not listen to them probably noticed that she seems rushed---she is very busy but that is because so many people want to see her.

I took my son to see Dr. Permaul after she came highly recommended by both my pediatrician and friend. She took us in on time with absolutely no wait time. She was very detailed and thorough and spent a great deal of time explaining the testing procedures, results and what she thought was going on. She put me at ease. She was very personable. I'm not sure what the other reviewer is talking about but she was very knowledgeable. As far as I know, Flonase can be prescribed for nasal congestion due to many reasons, not just allergies. But what do I know, I'm not a doctor. Anyways, I would highly recommend her to other parents looking for a compassionate and competent allergist for their child.

I was so disappointed after my son saw Dr. Permaul. She did a terrible job listening to me, thought I was wrong when I told her what I thought was going on, and even tried to prescribe my son Flonase after he tested negative for all environmental allergies. He is not congested on a regular basis and has no need for Flonase. Her behavior was unconscionable and I would not recommend her to anyone who wants a doctor who will listen to them, and not be blinded by her preconceived ideas.
