I was impressed by the high ratings this doctor received on the NYP website and several others; unfortunately, his communication and active listening skills are poor. After he cancelled my appointments twice, I was finally able to see him after the 3rd attempt of rescheduling. Once I was able to see him he was very focused on me keeping the same pcp (despite me explaining twice that I could no longer see that pcp because I relocated, the pcp's office is nearly 2 hours away from me and my work schedules were conflicting with that pcp's availability). He asked questions regarding my medical history and symptoms but he would cut me off while I was responding. In addition to not actively listening, he was micro aggressively condescending while asking follow up questions after my physical examination. I was interested in him performing my operation but after that interaction I feel concerned and unsafe to let a medical professional who acts this way, perform any type of surgery on me.

I was excited to see his high ratings and he was recommended by another OB/GYN I was seeing (due to his specialty in minimally invasive/ laparoscopic surgery). Unfortunately, he had poor communication and active listening skills. In addition to that he was microaggressively condescending. Luckily his nurse practitioner noticed and did her best to try to make the interaction more palatable. His behavior made me uncomfortable to move forward with him performing any surgery on me sad to say.

Amazing outcome. Dr. Nguyen did a fantastic job. He Explained the procedure that I was having. He also assured me that everything was going to be OK. The only thing I had trouble with was coming out of the anesthesia but overall I feel fantastic. Thank you
