Dr. Smar has a very nice personality and a lot of knowledge he is always help me and he’s not just a pill popper that wants you to take a pill he takes the time to listen and he has the patience to deal with us

Let me say this, I LOVE DR. SMAR. I needed a PMD as well as a cardiologist, and I hit the jackpot with Dr. Smar, I have been his patient over 10 yrs. I have 3 of my family members going to him from my recommendation, each love him just as much. He is kind, caring, compassionate, and just an over all nice person and excellent doctor. He takes his time during your appointments to answer questions, I never feel rushed. He even asks me how my family members are when I speak with him, he’s amazing! I also have never waited in the waiting room more than 10 mins. I know it may take a while for him to call you back, but I truly believe it’s the office staff, in how they notify him (with that being said they are getting better- remember they are just front desk receptionist, not medical personnel) If you tell them it’s important, not just a basic question, he’ll call that day. And if he doesn’t call back in the time frame you need, call and ask again, or ask to speak with the nurse, she will elevate it if necessary. Bottom line. I love Dr Smar! Definitely would give him 10 ⭐️stars if I could

I have been a patient of Dr Smar for almost 30 years and have been extremely satisfied with his care. Unfortunately, since So Nassau Hospital has taken over the practice I can't get a hold of him for test results despite hand delivering a note.

Horrible experience trying to get to speak with doctor. He is the doctor assigned to my mother in the rehab and since 2/14-present (3/29) I have placed several calls trying to get information. He has never met me or spoken to me and I am her health care proxy. Infuriate and helpless. It's a disgusting way to treat people.

I am a patient of Dr Smar for the past 5 yrs, I am trying to get an in person visit with him for the past 2 week to get my FMLA paper work done. I’ve been calling twice everyday and they receptions Stephanie keeps saying they’ll call me back and they are not calling me with any appointment. Today they told when when someone canceled they can give me that appointment but when will that be??? because i have a few more days left to to bring my paperwork to HR. So disappointed 😢
