List of Stephen Karbowitz's Reviews
I've been going to Dr. Stephen Karbowitz for 10 years. He's a great doctor professional, and compassionate. He really cares about his patients and takes very good care of them. He works out of a very good hoslital. New York Presbyterian Queens the (Old Booth Memorial). I was there 2 times for pneumonia. He walked me over and admitted me personally. He visited me almost every day with hands on instructions until I left the hospital. I highly recommend him.
I feel extremely safe in Dr Karbowitz's care
I have been seeing Dr. Karbowitz for about 15 years. He is knowledgeable, tells it like it is, but always in a positive uplifting way. He takes his time to show that he cares for you as a whole person, not just a patient.
My experience with Dr. Karbowitz and his staff was very bad. I left feeling like it was my fault or that I was faking being sick. He refused to asked his staff to get a copy of my lung function test from my primary doctor to compare with the test I just took. Practically, he called me fat. When I left instead of saying Goodbye he said in Romanian (my native language) “Pofta Mare” meaning good appetite but if don’t eat, it’s very disrespectful, especially when you a few ponds overweight. His staff is also very unfriendly and lazy. Anytime I asked them to correct, or gave me a copy of my test results, or enter the correct data about me in their computer, or something simple as to stamp a note I needed for my work, they either couldn’t find, didn’t know how to access their computers, etc.
Knowledgeable doctor with a great bedside manner. Tends to run a bit late, but it's worth the wait. Had me come back to the hospital on a day when he had no patient hours so we could spend extra time reviewing reports and ct scans.
My mother went for follow up after bring discharged from hospital. I had some concerns about her lung and Dr. Kabowitz suggests a CT scan to compare to previous scan. He pressed for an immediate appointment on her behalf (and got it! She is 86 years old and traveling is always cumbersome especially with her asthma. Dr, Kabowitz explained all her medications to me, I feel good that dear Mom is in good hands. I do suggest appointment at the hospital, Mom had to wait over 3 hours at the Horace Harding location.
Dr. Karbowitz is very professional and friendly.
treat me like a family member took me to the ER himself ,when admitted made time to see me in person. thank you DR, kabowitz.
Dr. Karbowitz is very intelligent, caring and sympathetic towards his patients, he spends a lot of time with you and explains your options. He is patient and understanding and leaves the major decision up to the patient whether to follow his advice or wait and see what happens. His bedside manner is great there should be many more doctors such as him and the health profession would be a better place for all. His staff is friendly and courteous and also helpful in making the follow up appointment for you. He is a true asset to the facility where he works. I have never met a doctor that was so polite and professional at the same time. He is a real gem!
Dr.Karbowitz is one of the nicest most caring doctors. Treats patients kindly and with respect.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
