Just had Lasik done and Dr. Donnenfeld was a class act! The best in the business and made me feel extremely comfortable and safe. The procedure was simple and well explained. I would Highly recommend him for Lasik or any other procedure! Thank you!

Just cancelled my procedure with Dr. Donnenfeld. During my initial consultation the technician was cold and distant. During my consultation they told me I'm a perfect candidate and have no concerns about performing LASIK, but completely glossed over the risk and side effects. Had follow up questions after and called to speak to Dr. Donnenfeld. Played phone tag a few times before finally getting to speak to him. Over the next few days did some more research about the different technologies and about other patient's experiences and things they wish they had known/considered. Called this morning to see when I could speak to Dr. Donnenfeld again and was told I should come see him in person. I agreed. Then I got a call from Dr.Donnenfeld to answer my additional questions but told I "have to make this quick". He quickly rushed through reading off my measurements. I asked a few questions such as which technology he would be using and how he was determining the procedure that was right for me. He got frustrated and told me that I'm micromanaging my surgery and am not someone who should have the procedure if I can't trust him and that I should just cancel. Never in my life have I had a doctor tell me I am asking too many questions about a procedure.

I am a high risk candidate for eye surgery, and when I needed cataract surgery I was referred to Dr. Donnenfeld. I went from 20/60 to 20/20 with his laser cataract surgery and inserting a special lens. I have never seen so well; for the first time in my life I do not need glasses. Dr. Donnenfeld is actually the # 1 in the United States and has been recognized and praised as such. He performs very thorough examination , has a skilled and caring technical staff, explains the procedure and situation very clearly and suggests the best surgery for the maximal outcome. He is a ROCK STAR..second to none and is so well reputed by all. I feel lucky and blessed that I was referred to him by my own excellent top level ophthalmologist Dr. McDonald. I am literally in disbelief that for the first time in decades I am seeing so clearly and perfectly. On a scale of 1 - 10 in all areas he is off the charts with the highest ratings available.!! What can I say Dr Donnenfeld has been incredible. I had my eyes originally done at TLC and they didn't honor their side of correcting my vision, instead I was given the run around. But OCLI had no issues with correcting the problem for me. Great communication, staff was so kind and helpful. I highly recommend them.

My experience with Dr. Donnenfeld and his surgical team was nothing short of excellent. I went in naturally, somewhat nervous about the procedure and had cancelled my scheduled surgery years prior due to fear of dry eye. I went in this time apprehensive and Dr Donnenfeld put me at ease. The procedure itself was no more than 15 minutes for both eyes which I had roughly -6.5 and -7 script. I came out and followed the instructions to rest and keep my eyes closed 6 hours after. I had almost zero discomfort and no dry eye after. A day later I have 20/20 vision and consider this to be one of the best decisions I have made, drastically improving my quality of life. Dr. Donnenfeld is an expert in his craft and I would highly recommend him if you are considering Lasik or other eye surgery.

My wife had cateract surgery with doctor donnenfeld and he damaged her capsule.....said he could do nothing about it.....she is now blind.....he never said he was sorry......how can this doctor be named best doctor in the country?????????PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR....VERY DANGEROUS........

Dr Donnenfeld is the best of the best. He is a pioneer in vision correction surgery; extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I would not trust anyone but him with my vision. I mean, maybe I would, but he is the best. I waited 2 hours to see him (office had been flooded, so they had to relocate to East Meadow, so things were a bit disorganized) but I wasn't even upset-- that's how good he is.

Dr. DONNENFELD gave me my eyesight back after a botched surgery 18 yrs ago. Very pleasant, I felt confident that minute I met him. He guaranteed my vision would be corrrected and it was. Thank you Dr.DONNENFELD. Linda Allen.

Had cross linking done then vision correction Procedures did not go as was presented to me by Dr. Donnenfeld. Now my Cornea is considerably thinner and the results are no different than before. Scared about my future eye sight prognosis and seems like i was just another number. Still wearing my hlasses and and no improvement

There is no kinder or more qualified doctor!
