DR Fleckner is the best hands down caring & knows what he's doing a perfectionist is a understatement. to say the least .

Dr. Mark Fleckner is the absolute best in his field hands down! In 2010 I was referred to Dr. Fleckner because I was experiencing flashing white lights in my left eye. It so happened that I had a detached retina and holes in my eye that Dr. Fleckner quickly addressed performing emergency surgery. If he did not perform the surgery as he did I would’ve been blind today. I owe everything to Dr. Fleckner, I owe him my life! Without your sight, you loose everything, he restored my sight and I will be forever grateful for him. God Bless him! On another occasion I had to ring him on his emergency line, he picked up the phone and listened to my visual concerns and perfectly and calmly described to me that I was experiencing an ocular migraine and that my symptoms should subside on their own (which they did) and he assured me to call him if they didnt and would see me. Dr. Fleckner is just God sent for me, I will always, always, always speak of Dr. Fleckner in high regard, I recommend everyone to him. Ignore the fake bad reviews, people are cruel and just want to put a bad name on this man, he loves what he does and we need more people like him in the world.-Rosa M

I came to Dr. Fleckner with a detachment in my left eye which rendered me sightless. He performed surgery that day and restored my vision. His follow up care was excellent as well. Dr. Fleckner is truly am amzing retinal specialist. I will be forever grateful for the care I received from him and his staff.

Doctor Gila Zilkha is the friendliest knowledgeable Doctor I've ever come in contact with. Doctor Mark Fleckner is the chief physician, the staff is comfortable to be with. Again thanking Doctor Zilkha for restoring my right eye all these years. She has a wonderful approach to all her patients, a smile that will knock your eye out ( and she’ll put it back in with care ). She has a wonderful family, a handsome looking Son, and a daughter, that you will see someday dancing on a broadway stage, and a wonderful care father.Dr, Gila has a up coming future, bless her and her family.

Do not go here if you are concerned about Covid. Crowded waiting room and receptionist was NOT WEARING A MASK. I walked out and canceled and they did not even deny it. No signs for social distancing, no hand sanitizer and crowded waiting room. No temp checks, no Covid questions. I don’t know how they are allowed to stay open.

DO NOT GO HERE. This doctor only cares about seeing as many patients as he can. You wait for a long time in crowded waiting rooms DURING COVID only to be seen by a doctor who has ZERO bedside manner. They then rush me out saying I need eye injections and would need them for the foreseeable future. I didn't like that so I typed his name into google with FRAUD next to it and wouldn't you know.... Read this."The United States has entered into an agreement to settle civil fraud claims with Dr. Mark Fleckner, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who maintains a practice in Garden City, New York. The agreement resolves allegations that, in contravention of Medicare regulations and in violation of the federal False Claims Act, Dr. Fleckner administered certain pharmaceutical products that he had purchased overseas, which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) had not evaluated nor approved for use in the United States (“Unapproved Drugs”). These products included aflibercept (“Eylea”) and ranibizumab (“Lucentis”), which Dr. Fleckner used to treat patients who had wet, age-related macular degeneration or other diseases and conditions of the eye. The United States contends that the Unapproved Drugs were not eligible for reimbursement by Medicare. Under the terms of the civil settlement agreement, Dr. Fleckner will pay a total of $6,955,240.80. Very sweet. My parents are elderly and always late 🙄 And they are always pleasant and understanding. Doctor Fleckner is great.
