Melissa Dawn Cascio-Leva's Online Review Report Card

I want to start off by saying that I have the utmost respect for this practice overall. Dr. Cascio, Dr. Battista, Dr. Dellorusso, Dr. Cascio, Dr. Sartori, & Dr. Regnier are beyond exceptional. My review however, is about another Doctor at this practice that left my wife in years today. I’m leaving a 5 star review for this practice because the insensitive comments from 1 physician should not reflect the overall stature of an otherwise phenomenal and highly recommended practice. The one doctor I’m referring to, greeted my wife by pointing out to my 20 month old daughter, that she was being neglected. Luckily my daughter is too intelligent to believe such nonsense, and frankly, too young to understand such a quick statement. I’m guessing this ridiculous and immature statement was made because her 18 month appointment was pushed back to 20 months due to my wife giving birth in mid-December. I may be biased but I don’t believe there’s a woman in this world who loves her children like my wife does. I have an army of friends and family who will attest to that. However, I don’t need a single one of them to do so. We tried for a year to have our beautiful and thriving baby girl. Let me rephrase that, my wife tried. Yes I went to appointments with her, but it was her body that went through the war of it. Neglectful? My wife couldn’t be neglectful toward anyone, let alone her miracle daughters if she tried. Our child has met or surpassed every milestone. She is blessed with so much love from everyone around her. Instead of having a relaxing and peaceful Thursday night, one with my wife reading to my daughter with a clear mind, she will instead be overthinking this insensitive, disrespectful, uncalled for, and hurtful comment made by 1 doctor at another wise amazing facility/practice. My wife overthinks every decision when it comes to our daughters. She’s put her heart and soul into being a mother. That’s what you do as a parent. You shouldn’t receive an award for being a great parent. Every child deserves that. But when you question a great mother or father’s parenting skills, it’s out of line. Safe to say we will be seeing every other doctor at this practice, with the exception of one.

Dr. Cascio-Leva has been with our children since birth, and we followed her to a new practice after 10 years. We adore her because she truly listens to her patients and parents. She has a way of making you stay calm when you think your children are really sick. My daughter had a horrible reaction to milk as an infant, and Dr. Cascio-Leva with the help of a great gastro doctor figured out quickly what we needed to do.

Dr. Cascio has been the best pediatrician to my kids, she kind, attentive, understanding and my kids absolutely love her.

We just switched to Dr. Cascio-Leva because Dr. Pagnota moved out of state. Dr. Cascio-Leva made my shy, nervous preteen daughter feel super comfortable during her appointment. We were taken promptly and the staff was great as usual. We switched to Garden City Peds many years back after a bad experience at a different group after my son had suffered a 2nd degree burn as a toddler. In the 12 years we have been coming here...all the doctors we have met have been skilled and compassionate. The staff is always polite and really helpful. What a pleasure to deal with Dr. Cascio-Leva and the Garden City Peds group.

My son has been seen by Dr Cascio since he was 15 days old. He is now 14 ½ yrs old. We trust her completely. She is great. Would totally recommend her.

Dr Cascio is an excellent doctor

Dr. Cascio is great, caring, considerate and my kids love her. The practice however is a different story!

I am a patient who has gotten checkups from Dr. Cascio before. I think she answers my questions and is just great in general! :-)
