List of Glen Cove Hospital's Reviews
Other than kind nurses and PCNs, the hospitalists and various doctors offered no solutions for a family member's condition. There was a palliative care coordinator, Maria who only cared about making sure to sign DNRs and health proxies on day 1. It was the most uncomfortable hospital stay for our family who all witnessed a very incompetent and low level of medical talent and lackluster bedside manner at this hospital. Do not go here for anything serious.
I could not have imagined a better team. The care exceeded all expectations. Everyone! Drs. Filardi and Shikowitz, Liz Campbell’s tender touch, Somy, Kaylee, Ashley, KerriAnn, Bradley…if I have neglected to mention any name, forgive me.
Had a wonderful experience at Glen cove emergency and hospital. I am rarely sick and walked in with a scary medical emergency and was admitted there after. Everyone I encountered was on there "A"game, nurses, doctors techs, the medical staff were all very attentive and personable. I highly recommend you go here for any medical needs. Shout out to the Third floor Nursing Team, Viviana , Maquy, Ula, Marie F, and,Pilar. Keep up the great work! Thank you ! L.C
Very poor and bad service specially for emergency services my mom crying for pain in her back I be calling plenty times about transfers pharmacy cause the recipe or medicine not available or any pharmacy they let my mom hanging on the phone plenty times I call them for solutions and they told me look for a pharmacy who have it and have goodnight my mom crying day and night for her back pain and they don’t give us solution since the drug not available at any pharmacy… please help me to find a solution it’s for my mother please…
Visited an In-law admitted here and honestly the way the staff absolutely do not care disgust me. I would rather drive half way across the country than bring any member of my family here. The ER is a joke.
A few years ago, I had a GP here who was just useless. Any issue I came to him was met with disinterest, boredom, and his infamous "I've seen worse", as if that justified his inaction. The last straw was my 4th or 5th meeting with him, in which some student handled the entire check-up and continuously attempted to change my words by speaking outloud while she wrote down my complaint. I guess they focus more avoiding malpractice rather than patient care.
All staff was friendly and professional. Hospital was very clean. pleasant experience in PACU and ASU.
If I can give 0 stars or even write a complaint, I would. My uncle came in after getting into an accident. He could not get up or stand on his own. They send him to the nearest ER, which happened to be at Glen Cove. I’ve been to many ERs in my life, as I am also a healthcare provider. This ER does not prioritize any tasks or patient needs. When I got there, there were blood samples just left on the table, my uncle said it’s been there for hours. No one came to tell us what was going on or what we were waiting for. I had to go find one of the nurses who were sitting at the desk chatting to see what was going on. They tell me he was waiting for a CAT scan. We waited 2.5 hours for one. Then, the nurse comes to take blood samples again, discarding the first few test tubes she left on the table. She sends someone else to get his first set of vitals, that is 3-4 hours after arrival. My uncle did not have any fluids running, he was dehydrated and he is diabetic. No one checked his blood sugar levels or urine. After 5 hours waiting, they tell us they had to transfer us to North Shore Manhasset to get an MRI. Not only does my uncle have a fracture on his spine, they did not even do the basic assessments during the 5 hours he’s been there, I would never bring my family members here. It’s horrible.
IF YOU WANT TO LIVE...DON'T GO HERE.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
