Dr. Russ is a wonderful physician!

Dr. Russ answered all of my questions and didn’t rush me. She was very caring and sweet

We love using her, she has over 30 years experience, and our family has been using her for many years. Really a great doctor.

Another review said it well...she was arrogant, rude and unprofessional. The office needs a major renovation and the staff is almost as rude as Dr. Russ.

Switched to this group because my kids doctor switched offices and we followed him. I called the office because my 6 year old son was complaining his ear hurt. The staff was rude and told me I wasn’t in the system even though I sent records over weeks ago. Finally found our records after 20 minutes of me pushing. I was then told that the doctor I switched for and wanted to see was not available and I could see Dr. Russ. We spent 15 minutes in the waiting room filling out paperwork work. Very uncomfortable being in a waiting room like that during COVID. When Dr. Russ came into the room she seemed rushed. Hardly examined my son and said he was fine. Got annoyed when I asked a question about how to he0 his pain and said she didn’t have time. When I mentioned the issue of being in the waiting room she said it was my fault for not filling out the paperwork at home even though no one told me about it and I had to enter it into a tablet. Spoke to a friend who has used this group for a long time and she laughed when I told her the story and said that everyone knows NOT to see Dr. Russ but the staff always tries to force patients to see her. I will go back but only to see the doctor I followed in the first place.

Taking my son in for a sick visit: Dr Heidi Russ is callus, insensitive and just plain mean. She had this mean girl attitude with my son and me while at her office in Manhasset. We are regular patients yet were experiencing an issue due to my ex-husband having my sons DOB wrong on his insurance by one year. And she would not see us. During a pandemic, in which I haven’t been working...She was insisting that I had to pay out of pocket for the doctor visit or she would not see my son who was clearly in excruciating pain. As a doctor she could see my child was in pain, the appoint was scheduled bc he was in pain and he’s a regular patient and once again he was in distress! Yet, she let us ponder in the waiting area for over an hour on the phone with the insurance company instead of trying to treat my child. While she made negative comments, clearly had an attitude that I was taking so long on the phone (as if I had control of that). She mentioned her and her staff needed to leave an

Save yourself the trouble of paying $100 to get your medical records sent to a new doctor. Last time I brought my 10 month old daughter there for a 10 month wellness checkup we waited in the waiting room for an hour, then in the exam room another hour until the doctor saw my baby. The staff claimed it was some kind of “insurance issue” but we have had the same insurance for multiple previous visits. The staff worker in charge told me she “understands it’s inconvenient for us but it’s also inconvenient for her.” Had me wait about 30 min another time when my infant had a bad fever. On two separate occasions we saw the doctors there when our baby was sick and we were told “she’s fine”, “it’s common at this age”....only to have to go back two days later the first time and get some medicine. The second time we had to take her to the hospital the next day where she was diagnosed with Croup. I do not trust these doctors & the staff isn’t friendly.

My daughter saw her for the first time yesterday. I was downstairs in the same building at another appointment with my sickly mother. My daughter usually sees PA MaryEllen, who is absolutely wonderful, however, we had to change appointments due to my mothers appt. After her appt, my daughter arrived to me in tears!!!! My daughter was insulted and laughed at for still being a patient at the age of 19. Other things were also said to her as well that no person, especially a Pediatrician, should say to her. If my mother wasn’t so sick I would’ve marched right up to the office and spoke to Dr. Russ myself. She has no bedside manner, RUDE, and maybe it’s time for her to retire. My family has been a part of that practice since 1993. We have never been treated like this. Then again, we had never seen Dr Russ. What a mistake.,

Doesn't know how to be polite to people

Dr. Russ is an amazing caring doctor. She is extremely helpful and brilliant. She has been my son’s doctor for 17 years.
