Steven M. Kobren's Online Review Report Card

I’ve had 2 visits with and each lasted less than a minute (not exaggerating… the doctor walks in and in such a hurry, blurts out a sentence or two and rushes out like he’s in a dramatic movie scene). I was stranded in his office for 3 tests where the first two were completed and was told “you’re next” for the 3rd. 2 hours later I was still waiting while others (all white men) were going in ahead of me. Oddly enough I wasn’t the only person who was “next” who was stranded too. The other person was an African American woman. I politely raised the issue to everyone I got a chance to speak with (Dr Kobern was in too much a hurry like he was allergic to anyone who isn’t of the Arian race)… no one apologized or took responsibility or showed empathy except for the nurse I saw on my 2nd visit. When I added it all up, I concluded none of this was an accident. They probably don’t want patients who aren’t white; I can’t think of any other reason. I would have more respect for them if they just posted a sign that read “whites only”.

Watch out for this POS when hes not prescribing an annual Nuclear Stress Test or taking graft from big pharma so he can drive his Big BMW around the estates where he lives in long island he brings in his buddies for a piece of the action like David Majier or Raymond Ferguson who try to kill you with nuero toxic Levaquin Generics because the name brand was pulled off the market years ago.In my opinion the 3 most dangerous doctors on long island.May their families burn in hell and die of Cancer

Been going to him for yearsdoesn’t get any better.Smart guy figures stuff out quickly. Doesn’t waste my time Handles my problems until they are gone. Needed to see another specialist for a problemtried calling the recommended doctors office told 3 month wait. Kobren made a call got me in that afternoon. Great follow up and communication from office. Office is busybut when he is with you he makes you feel like you are the only one there. Excellent care

Used to be good but appointments are rushed and office is a factory. Also totally dismissed issues from covid as anxiety. medical gaslighting at its best.

Yes Dr. Kobren is quick but you just know he is looking at everything. He is caring and if you have a question he will stop and answer. Just bring a list. I would like to have Dr. Kobren as my primary care physician but I am not sure if he has the time. He knows me better than anyone. He is one terrific caring and intelligent Drs I have ever met. Everyone in his staff is fantastic

Dr Kobren is a truly special doctor amazing diagostician I was looking for a new doctor and I researched him after friends recommended him I like that he is a Professor at NYU Medical School and still teaches there. He is fast but thorough.When I recently had a complicated medical issue he made me feel like I was the only patient in his practice Couldnt ask for anything more so grateful to be under his care. I have sent alot of my friends to him and they all have had similar experiences. Simply the best

Dr. Kobren is an gifted diagnostician. He saved me from a stroke or worse by discovering my severe mitral valve regurgitation on a routine check up. I was completely asymptomatic, but my condition was so extreme, I could have had a stroke instead of being able to have the operation that fixed my valve and heart. Since he is an internist and a cardiologist, he had all the equipment I needed to be able to be tested right in his offices that very day. Dr. Kobren called me at home with the final results of his testing and gave me the names of 2 top NYC thoracic surgeons to decide between. I feel blessed to have Dr. Kobren watching over my health! He is the best of the best.

Very good diagnostician but office has changed and feels like a factory. Everything is rushed now including visits with him. It’s just not the same

Always there for me and my family takes special care of us we have been using him for 20 years. Hes an amazing diagnosticiannot an alarmist. Im happy to have him in our corner. When things get complicated he gets very involved until everything gets better. Cant ask for anything more from my doctor.
