I went in for a preventive colonoscopy, he never explained to me that if I had a previous one done even over 10 yrs ago that it would change the billing code from a Preventive to Diagnostic, costing me many hundreds of dollars instead of being free. I was a new patient to the Riverhead office on Friday October, 14, 2022.I cannot say enough kind things!! Starting with Jessica, she not only took my initial call to make a new patient appointment but I met her as soon as I walked in and she was awesome! Efficient and super professional. I was sitting maybe 5 minutes and was asked to come in, I did not even finish my paperwork! All together I waited maybe 10 minutes at the most before seeing Dr. Dhiren Mehta. Dr. Mehta was thorough, patient, kind and answered all of my questions. Overall I would would HIGHLY recommend this office and physician to ANYONE!! Great Job to all!!!!Jennifer ClarkMiller Place

After being given many tests and a colonoscopy 2 to 3 weeks ago for severe diarrhea I have yet to hear from the office, seems like they don't care . And when you call there is no one available.

The Doctor ran late in the office which I now understand he answered all my questions, I never felt rushed he was patient kind, and helped me through a great ordeal staff was pleasant He is an amazing Doctor, ad very grateful

My husband is a patient here but i could not even get in the door. His unhelpful, rude office staff (especially a person named Angela) cancelled two appointments on me, first insisting i needed a referral when i didnt, then insisting that my primary care doctor (which i visited two months ago) did not take my insurance. Save yourself a huge headache and go to another doctor.

Dr. Mehta is always, always, always, always late. I'm not talking about 20 minutes. I'm talking about 2 hours or more. For the 10+ years that my husband has been going to him, he has NEVER been on time. Always an excuse. I feel that it's disrespectful and rude to continue to keep patients waiting that long, all of the time. NO excuse for that, none.

This office is ridiculous. Impossible to get a phone call back about any questions and the front office staff is exceptionally rude. Stay away from this practice!
