Dr. LeFrance was absolutely amazing when I met him. He was very straight to the point and didn’t waste time in getting what I needed. I got X-Rays fairly fast and he explained better what my issue was. I opted to do a cortisone shot, and during he asked questions to distract me from the injection and to try and distract the pain I felt. I’m very glad I was referred to him, and am ready to go back when I need to.
Dr LaFrance and team did an amazing job, kind, professional, caring and highly skilled.
Awful experience. Terrible doctor. Find someone else and save yourself a lot of aggrevation.
Horrible. Dr LaFrance took MRI’s of my two shoulders back in April 2021 and said one was torn and one was partially torn and surgery was needed. In July 2021 I moved a mattress and re-damaged the left shoulder making it worse. Meantime I had two leg surgeries and a back implant for other damage. The left shoulder was so excruciating I could not dress. I saw him today for a check up and to request another MRI. He ordered X-rays galore, he manually and roughly tested my range of movement which was very poor, then when asking me to raise my injured shoulders he grabbed them both and yanked them high. I screamed in agony. He told me I was in to much pain to be helped by him, and surgery would not work, before even ordering and reviewing a new MRI. He is a horrible man that apparently gets his kicks from hurting the disabled like me and changing his mind a million times. I don’t know what to do now. Putting his hands on me and forcing my arms into the sky after telling him I was in intense pain was just evil.
Amazing suergon made me feel comfortable and gave me good advice and did an amazing job at treatming me after my surgery (ACL,MCL, Meniscus) I definitely recommend him!! ( your patient Brianna Francis)
Dr. LaFrance didn't even listen to me. I came in for knee trouble, and he couldn't have been a nastier person. Didn't even look at my MRIs (which I was told I needed to bring or I wouldn't be seen) glanced at the x rays and said I have a lot of arthritis for my age. Then he says "I don't understand what you want me to do for you". He proceeds to give me two injections, which I repeatedly told him haven't worked in the past, told me to go to physical therapy, which has only made my symptoms worse, and come back in three months. The guy has the bedside manner of a grumpy old man who resents his work and hates his patients.
Very unprofessional. I had a difficult time doing his range of motion test for him because I am in pain. He had the audacity to yell at me and then proceeded to put his hands on me to make me do the movements he wanted putting my knee and hip in more pain.
Dr LaFrance has horrible bed side manner and is negligent. He told my daughter that her pain was in her head despite having labral tears and FAI.Thank God we got a second opinion and didn’t follow his recommendations. Highly recommend SOS for orthopedic care.
I saw Dr. Lafrace 4 years ago for a knee injury, he told me that there was nothing wrong with me and to just do pt, so I did pt. I ended up having 2 knee surgeries by other doctors. I recently saw him again for the same injury because I am still having problems and my primary care doctor felt I should have it looked at again. He didn't even look at me or ask me what was wrong, he just told me I needed to do at home exercises and there was nothing he would do for me. I understand if a doctor feels that there is nothing that they can personally do, but you saw me 4 years ago, clearly if I had a doctor refer me back to you there is a reason for me to come back, and even so a lot can change in 4 years.
I am extremely frustrated. He was disinterested in my care. He was very quick. and then dismissed my issue. Waited two months to see a specialist, all for nothing. Maybe if I were a male he would have treated my differently.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
