List of Pedro R Segarra's Reviews
Extremely caring and helpful. Dr Segarra followed my first pregnancy and delivery.
Fantastic, he explained everything clearly. He apologized to me not receiving the proper care from one of the practicing (No longer there) doctors. Thanking him for releiving me of my discomfort and pain. Would recommend him 100%
I waited over an hour to see Dr. Segarra (I am positive about the wait time because of text updates I sent concerned family), but in the official patient record he claims I waited less than 30 minutes. Lying in my official medical record to make himself look better is embarrassing and unprofessional. Also, long indoor waits during COVID cannot be good for pregnant patients! And there was definitely at least one pregnant patient waiting for an extended period of time.
I had a very contentious encounter with Dr. Pedro Segarra. I went in for an annual exam (pap, etc) and was asked to arrive 15 minutes early because I was a new patient. I waited in the waiting room (indoors, during COVID pandemic) for well over 45 minutes. There was a pregnant woman in there! Surely she deserved better care... I was in a bad mood when I finally saw him, and he did not make it better ...
I had a very contentious encounter with Dr. Pedro Segarra. I went in for an annual exam (pap, etc) and was asked to arrive 15 minutes early because I was a new patient. I waited in the waiting room (indoors, during COVID pandemic) for over 45 minutes. There was a pregnant woman in there! Surely she needed better care... I was in a bad mood when I finally saw him, and he did not make it better with his gruff bedside manner. "What are you here for?" he asked when he walked in. And then, when I said an annual exam, he asked, "Do you want a pelvic exam?" Well, you're the doctor. If that's part of the process, then yes, please. I am writing this review because I recently downloaded my visit summary, in which he says that I waited less than 30 minutes to see him. This is false. I had told him I was there for over 45 minutes. I can prove with my GPS, appointment timing, etc. that I spent over 45 minutes waiting. Surely it's against some rules for him to lie in his records so as to make himself look better!
I have been a patient of Dr. Segarra for 28 years. He delivered all four of my children and delivered all five of my sister's children. I am a dentist and my sister is a pediatric nurse practitioner, so needless to say, we set our standards very high. Dr. Segarra is an extremely talented, caring and knowledgeable practitioner. Although he moved to the Hamptons and I live in Queens, I still continue to use him as my gynecologist. The trip out east is worth the standard of care and personalized attention that I receive. Highly recommend!!!!
All the local girls have called him "the butcher" for years.
6 months after a hysterectomy still in pain. Endometriosis had also been undiagnosed. Save yourself. Take the time to go to a real doctor. I wish I had.
Dr. Segarra is friendly and professional I have been treated by many doctors but I can definitely say he is one of the best there is.
I haven't seen Doctor Segarra in so many years he moved from my area and I finally found him to my surprise he moved further so I'm bummed out.however I do want to say he is the best Doctor ever I can't never find a doctor as good as him for the past 8 years i keep changing my GYN since he left my area. He's very patient and listens to your needs .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
