Dorian Gravenese Md's Online Review Report Card

I have seen here several times. She is gentle and caring. She took a small amount of tissue for a biopsy yesterday and I felt nothing. Her handling is gentle and she took all the time I needed to answer all of my questions.

Nasty, rude, devaluing

I saw Dr. Gravanese for an emergency non-cosmetic skin issue. She was clearly very knowledgeable and gave a thorough, no-nonsense diagnosis with clear instructions. Was surprised to see low reviews, although those could be bc the office staff is pretty incompetent.

Dr. Gravenese is a caring, patient clinical dermatologist. She seems very dedicated to the care of her patients.

I saw Dr. Gravenese for a simple body check, because she was part of my medical group. My experience(s) with her were terrible. I (not she) pointed out an unusual skin growth over my left eye, which she took a sample of for a biopsy. She attacked it aggressively and hurriedly, leaving a huge gauge over my left eye which has not healed. It looks like a giant pock mark. The biopsy came back negative. On my follow-up visit to her, I questioned why the dent in my forehead was so big, and she showed no concern. It has now been 5 months, and I know that this scar will be with me always. I SO regret leaving my old dermatologist for this uncaring, ruthless doctor, who always seems to be in a rush and has no sympathy whatsoever. P.S. My husband visited her too, and now has a huge white circle in the middle of his forehead from a non-malignant skin flap that she removed. I am beginning to think that she gets great satisfaction from scarring her patients.

Arrogant and pushy. Will never go back. Do not recommend.

I came in for a few minor rashes and I was barely looked at (in one case it seemed she had forgotten about my rash and when I reminded her at the end she did not even offer to examine it, she just told me to use hydrocortisone and got up to leave the appointment.) The whole point of going into an office is to be examined and I did not feel I was given adequate attention or concern. An entire appointment wasted on telling me to just use OTC meds without actually examining me closely. Won't return

checked her email during my office visit today right in front of me. didn't even examine half of the things I came in for. was distracted and dismissive. won't be going back to her.
