Excellent surgeon. Wrist surgery has awesome outcome. No pain, full mobility. Explained whole procedure and what to expect after surgery.His staff...not so good.

Dr. McGill is the BEST! I shattered my elbow and while I was told by several Doctors that they either did not avert worker’s compensation or the damage was beyond what they could fix. It took two weeks before I found Dr.Magill. Not only was he the only one who would take my case, he worked until he could give me the best outcome. Just to repair my arm would have left me with very limitedROM. However, he fought for me and with me. I had many challenges and struggles along the way and he always looked out for me and the best outcome. I will never have full ROM, but if it wasn’t, for Dr. Magill, I may not have an arm at all. I will be indebted to him and his staff for giving me the quality of life I now have. Because of him I am now in nursing school. My deepest gratitude can never be measured.

I thought the doctor explained things well and answered my questions honestly. I like his bedside manner, he is a caring person. Wait time in the office is long , I see him in the Fishkill office where he is there once a month so they try to accommodate everyone.

I asked to refill my pain meds and he said he would l, but he didn’t. I called the next day THREE TIMES AND HE STILL DIDNT SEND THEM IN. So now I’m a post op patient in excruciating pain.

Not only do you wait at least over an hour each visit no matter what you're there for, but u wait so this rude nasty doctor can pop his head in for literally less than a minute and then walks out keeping you wondering whats going on. Doesn't have the respect to even look you in the eyes. Today i went in prepared to have an actual conversation with him. He not only snapped on me raising his voice because i had questions about his recent surgery on MY arm. I explained i had pain and asked for some thing for relief. He didnt ask anything about my pain or tell me what exactly he was gonna do. He just nodded his head and walked out. Leaving me with more questions then when i walked in with. God forbid i have to call the office...id get no where!

I was in an unexpected car accident and airlifted to Westchester hospital. Dr. Magill did surgery on my very badly broken arm. So ive had to deal with this doc for the last 2 years. If another surgeon would work on my arm trust me i would have soooo long ago! He is not only rude and condescending, you wait literally hours to see him, get called in and wait another 45 min. Just so he can run in for less than a minute usually and walk out. Today i brought a list of questions as i learned ive gotta not only come prepared but try and keep him talking so you actually understand what is going on with your injury. He actually got so upset that i had questions he YELLED at me like a child. I could not believe it! He was actually upset because i needed him for more than a minute or two! I don't even understand why the waiting room time is so long when he spends so little time with his patients. I wasn't able to move my wrist and it healed crooked so i had to go back to him wanting to fix it and i wish i never did that! Now not only is it worse looking but he took it upon himself to put a rod in my wrist so now i really cant bend my wrist...so i don't see the reason for this surgery at all. Now i am stuck in a cast for another 6 weeks and have to go back to that office! I would say a lack of bed side manner is putting his nasty attitude and lack of common decency lightly. If i had the choice, he would be my last choice.

Okay, maybe not the best " bedside manner" type of Dr. But he sure does know his trade! Excellent Dr. Knows what he is doing. After 3 unsuccessful surgeries done by another surgeon and almost 4 years of extreme pain - Dr Magill in less than an hour fixed my elbow. I am one grateful client of his. This man knows his stuff! Highly recommend! He is not a talker, but he is friendly and cares and that is what matters. Thank you, Dr Magill

Oh where to begin with this one...Here is the most recent debacle caused by this incompetent office:At my last appointment, I brought them FMLA paperwork that my job required to guarantee my pay and to ensure that my job would be there when I finished recovery. (Yeah, pretty important...) I told dr. Magill and he told me to give it to his staff to complete. I assumed that they deal with FMLA paperwork on a regular basis so I had no problem in trusting them to complete and send it in. I advised them that if this paperwork was not sent in soon I would lose a paycheck and my job could be at risk. Again...very important. Here's how they followed through on their promise to send it in promptly. They had to fill in the blanks on one page. That's all. .It is now over a week later and ]my job is advising me that I will no longer be paid and that they can't guarantee my job because the papers were not sent in by my surgeon. Meanwhile, the same people who promised me they would send it promptly are now treating me like I am the problem and I am annoying them by following up with them (how rude of me...).Stay far away from this office stay far away from the staff. You have better options in the same building ... go with anyone else...These people are not honest, they are rude and incompetent. Everyone walks out shaking their head after waiting for hours for a simple follow up appointment.If that's how you want to be treated then, by all means, give them a call.[Please note: Due to space restrictions, I haven't even touched the fact that wait times exceed two hours and you will speak to voice-mail when you call. Interestingly, speaking to a recording is often more productive than talking to any of the staff at this truly ridiculous office.]
