List of Sasha Ristic's Reviews
I was a patient of his until he told me nothing was wrong with me. Orthopedic Associates clinic has treated me far well up until my drama happend with him on November 6th 2023. I had a follow up because doctor Jason had gave me cortisone shot in the wrist where he also believed there was some deformity of my wrist. I left orthopedic in excruciating pain. When doctor Saha Ristic said there was nothing wrong with me. I’ve been 4 surgeons all doctors said I had fractured my wrist at the sense of the car accident including EMS who arrived to the car accident. My attorney advised me not post but my heart is worried about other people who go to him. As a former medical staff member who works for Westcher Medical Hospital. He was not practicing his Vitals. The Ed surgeon offered me an IVY bag and including 975 mlg worth of anti-histamine. The neruse called from his office stated that she had my records from the ER. Witch was a lie because if she knew that they came up with a conclusion that what was causing the pain was Snuffbox and Frozen shoulder. I urge you to run from him because he will Gaslight you think that you are not in pain. It’s a shame.
Had surgery yesterday and was very pleased at what he did, explained everything, bedside manner great awesome surgeon thank you will have other wrist done soon by him.
I saw him twice for severe pain in my elbow (golfers elbow). Yes he was unapologetically late and yes he doesn't have the best "bedside manner" but after the 2nd shot of cortisone he said to me "if you were my son, and had to have the operation, here's a list of doctors in NYC you should contact." I followed his advice and eventually had surgery at Columbia and since that time I've been pain free.
Dr. Ristic has an excellent bedside manner - when he's in a good mood. I had many trigger fingers fixed. One time I had a carpal tunnel operation done at the same time as a trigger finger. It was so painful and swollen afterwards that the ocupational therapist wouldn't work on it for weeks. The bill turned up two years later!
I visited Dr. Ristic for the first time today, after previously seeing Dr. Moyer from same practice. I found him very professional, explaining all of my available options for the arthritis I'm suffering with in both hands. I'm pleased to have begun a new course of care for this painful condition.
I should had put a review up 1& 1/2 yrs ago when I had 3 surgeries in one hand as my hand reminds me of the surgery 24/7! I heard from many that Dr Ristic was one of the best surgeons & reviews back then said same! ( now not so much 2 1/2 stars!) I was told he didn’t have much of a bedside manner but hearing how good of a surgeon he was, I decided to go to him! I do feel he rushes you through the visit! I tried many times to try to get in touch with the office! Next to impossible to get through! I finally gave up! The damage was done! I was told in recovery from Dr. Ristic that I may have a little pain here & there but it wouldn’t be bad! My pain is pretty much excruciating 24/7! I have to live with this pain! I need two surgeries in the other hand but I will never go back to Dr Ristic! I don’t know, maybe he had an off day that day!!??
I do not recommend using this doctor. I recently went to see him for severe pain in my wrist and thumb. I’m a previous patient of his and have been seen before for this problem a few years prior. I was a given a cortisone shot and the pain subsided. Recently the pain returned so I figured I would go back to him and receive the same care I got the first time, because it was a good experience. Sadly that was not the case. I received a another shot and this time he completely rushed through the process. After the shot I was in a lot more pain then I was prior and now was experiencing it in different parts of my wrist. I went for a follow up and explained this and he sent me for imaging. During this appointment he was extremely rough and aggressive while examining my wrist, and still continued after I expressed how bad it hurt and was visibly in pain. I went back after my MRI and he said that there was nothing wrong and that I just need to stop doing the things that cause me pain, even after I explained that it is even occurring during daily tasks. He made me feel very uncomfortable and unheard. To this day I’m still I horrible pain and will now be seeking a second opinion.
My doctors visit with Dr. Sasha Rustic was not productive. I was discriminated against by the color of my skin when he asked what nationality I was upon meeting me. He did not review my chart before coming into the room to reevaluate me and therefore had no medical knowledge of my injury. When I addressed my concerns of not receiving therapy for over 4 months he talked over me and belittled me and frequently pointed out that I am on workers compensation. He kept assuring me he has x amount of experience with workers comp and no one takes workers comp for a reason. He did not like the fact that I was advocating for myself. He refused to address my concerns and failed to provide patient care and stormed out of the room. He scheduled my next visit with a PA because he refuses to be my provider. It has been 4 months since my injury and I have not recovered to go back to work. He has caused me great emotional distress in addition to my injury. This continues to affect me physically, mentally and financially.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
