List of Elliot B. Duboys's Reviews
My mom was in a mva in 2010 and her current implants had ruptured so I called dr duboys's office for a consult since they advertised it would be no fee and we were going through no fault. Receptionist asked the reason for appointment , I said breast implant , in my mind my mom needed to get new implants , I didn't know I should've have said " reconstructive surgery" how does one know that when they aren't in the field . So on the day of consult they slapped us with a $300 consult fee because they said it wouldn't be a free consult since I had misrepresented the reason for the appointment. Which is so unethical and wrong in so many ways to try to twist things around to make more money out of people. And to top it off , his methods of surgery was ridiculous. He wanted to put my mom under anesthesia to only remove the ruptured implants and then wait 6 months and then go back in to place the new implants. We didn't agree with his methods because we didn't want my mom to go under anesthesia twice and having to wait 6 months in between. It was another way for him to make more money and it would've increased my mom's risk of going under and he didn't want to wait for no fault to pay him out, he wanted the money directly from us. We explained to him first of all coming up with 10k isn't easy for us and second if we paid it out, no fault may never end up paying. So for all those reasons we decided to go with another surgeon. Which none of the above issue was an issue for us, he did the surgery without putting my mom under twice and no fault paid him. He wasn't greedy like dr. Duboys. The reason I'm leaving this review is because I disagreed with having to pay him $300 consult fee and after explaining it was a misunderstanding , again him being a greedy man and all, he decided to put this $300 to a collection agency and since we moved , and had no idea this had happened , by the time the interest had accumulated the $300 turned into $1800. So tell me this , how a woman that's been disabled since her mva should pay this kinda money? And this tells a lot about dr duboys as a person and as a surgeon that must have absolutely no success in his field and is so desperate to put a $300 consult fee through a collection agency , how pathetic.... I honestly pity the man. For those of you that choice to allow him to operate on you , remember my words , all he cares about is money. I don't want to bash on someone for no reason or personal vendetta, but plastic surgery and deciding to go with what surgeon doesn't come lightly to most, I want people to know this is the kinda man dr. Duboys is.
Dr. Dubois is a honest, professional and through physician. He is not in this industry to make money off of people's insecurities. He truly cares and will give you his honest opinion. I have seen his work without even knowing I am seeing his work. 5 stars and beyond. Finding a doctor who will not only give you the best results but treat you as a patient that matters. This is proven by the time he spends with his patients, and helping them make informed choices. This is sadly rare these days. But as a clinical psychotherapist , I feel that Dr. Dubious supports his patients with the best in medical and with the best truly caring. As a therapist plastic surgery can be a loaded issue. If client was to ask me for a referral and discussing their reasons for either needing or wanting cosmetic work, I no doubt would direct them to Dr. Dubios.Carrie Steinbach, LCSWLicensed Clinical Psychotherapist5 Star!
Be very careful ladies if using a groupon, first time users only.
Dr. DuBois is great. Affordable, efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend!
My friends had various plastic surgery performed by Dr. Duboys and they've always looked so gorgeous after the surgery. So in August 2019 I decided to have my bilateral blepharoplasty. I am so happy with the results and I trust his 30+ years experience in the field. His office is beautiful and his management team is so professional and caring.
I went for skin tightening treatment at Dr Duboys office in Huntington NY and they recommended the ENDYMED machine. This was my first experience with any treatment. I am very disappointed with results I SEE NO DIFFERENCE IN MY SKIN APPEARANCE I had some downtime and yes it was painful. I was charged $750 per treatment and was told I needed 3 treatments, after 3 tratments they gave me a song and dance to wait 3 months to see results . Well it has been 3 months and there is no difference in skin appearance I would NOT recommend this to anyone
this is one surgeon that knows what he is doing, no questions asked. Dr. Duboys has completed multiple procedures on me and is simply experienced. i have never had complications, results have been better than ever expected and i can't even imagine what would have been if it weren't for him. plain and simple, he's the best!
Used a groupon for botox, which I've had a dozen times. He injected in 2 areas to get the look I wanted but put botox in a different area than I'm used to, for a brow lift. After a week, I noticed no difference in the brows. Went back 2 weeks later for him to try to give me what I want. He did another set of injections and now another week later (3 weeks from initial visit) and I still don't see the brow lift (other area is fine). Good doctor but won't return.
Used a groupon to get botox, which I've had a dozen times from my dermatologist (his prices went to nearly double so I wanted to try someone else). Dr Duboys is SUPER punctual. I waited for about 5 mins in the lobby, and then another 5-7 in the actual room. He asked me what I was looking to achieve so I said 'well, I've had it before and I get it here, between my eyebrows, and then....' He cut me off and said 'I'm not interested in what you normally get, I'm interested in what you want to achieve' So I said 'to get rid of the lines between my eyes, and then to get a nice brow lift' I actually like the brow lift much more than the softening of the lines between my brows, and this is pretty much the only reason why I get it. He explained he would be putting the botox under my eyes, in the outer corners where crows feet are normally to get the eyebrow lift. I told him I am used to getting the eyebrow lift done with the injections above my eye brows. He then schooled me on the anatomy of the muscles around the eyes and explained how the brow lift is better by doing it with the injection near the crows feet area instead. After nearly a week, I still had slight movement in between my brows (I am used to having almost no movement), and that eyebrow lift should have happened by now. I was set to go on vacation, and was hoping for it to kick in before I left, so I called to see if I can come back bc I wasn't happy. The nurse asked the doctor and he thought it best to wait until I came back. So 3 weeks after the initial treatment, I went back. I think 3 weeks is more than enough time to see the results I wanted, and to get what I paid for (I paid for 2 areas and feel like I only received one). He was very nice the second time and again explained to me how the muscles work and was very adamant that since he is a plastic surgeon, he would NOT put the botox above my eyebrows bc it can lead to the brow drooping. He said no board certified plastic surgeon would do that and he would again put it where the crows feet would be, and said something like the first time I came in he didn't give me the full dosage. Now, I'm not sure what the full dosage is but if I paid for it then shouldn't I get all of it? HOWEVER....I'm sure it is best to do a little first and then put more in if you don't see what you want. You can't take it out once its in. Well, it's nearly a week later and I'm still not seeing an eyebrow lift. There is a small lift in the center but I told him I like it lifted on the ends. He said he didn't want me walking around like Jack Nicholson, but I kinda like a little Jack. All in all....he just didn't give me what I want. I read other reviews that he might be diluting the botox, so that might be why I'm not seeing the result I want, but I don't want to accuse the guy of any wrongdoing. Bottom line...if you are used to getting botox in the areas he will only do, then go see him. If not, stick to what works for you.
Nice Man, the worst botox treatment I ever had. No results whatsoever and i have been getting botox for years. Waste of money, Not sure if he even used botox. Rip off, only interested in selling surgical procedures.I too am familiar with the amount of units I get, and he didn't want to know anything about units, as he advertised 20 units per area. Total disappointment and i have used groupon in the past with other doctors.Waste of time and money. This was the first time it hurt and lefy bumps on my head.
