Excellent! I found the whole process of my cataract surgery to be professional, painless, and personal. My experience, beginning from reception to technicians, to check out (especially Dr. Arleo) were outstanding. Every detail was explained and all my questions answered. I know Dr. Arleo does countless of these surgeries and I was one of twenty patients that day but still felt "cared for" as if I was his only patient. Plus the hospital staff were more than accommodating and sensitive. Well, I could go on and on, but as you see, I think the picture is clear.

Hustled for surgery!! I called specifically for a comprehensive eye exam with the MD. When I arrived for this appointment I learned I was not going to see an MD for my exam. Somehow they "squeezed me in" to see an MD. I asked for a contact lens exam as well, an additional $113.00, not covered by insurance. Trial contact lenses were ordered at the new scrip level. At the end of my stay in Ithaca I learned that they would not release the contacts to me without another appointment. Sadly, I was out of time and off to my flight. No new contacts in hand. I was also hustled to get cataract surgery! Once I returned home my husband, a retired opthalmologist who practiced at Scripps, examined the Dr's notes and stated that I was "no where near ready" for cataract surgery with corrected vision at 20/30 and 20/40. I was told at the practice "not to waste any money on new glasses or contacts, you need surgery!!!" I am now awaiting the release of my contact lens prescription for which measurements were made. Do you think I'll be required to travel back 2000 miles to to pick up my trial pair before they release the prescription? Lastly, with the exception of Matt, the technician, the bedside manner of the providers could use improvement. Cold, unprofessional, rushed.

Dr Arleo and his staff couldn’t be more professional , cheerful or helpful . I feel such confidence being treated there that I travel from Vermont every year for check ups .

I have been to many an eye Dr. and offices. This staff always have a smile and a kind word for me. The professionalism is really where it’s at with these folks. Don’t think twice, this the right place. I rarely say I look forward to my next visit, this is the exception. Thank you Dr.s. and staff. Especially ALEXA! She is a rockstar.

Very professional staff and Dr Arleo is amazing, I had cataract surgery on both eyes and had the panoptix lens put in what a difference. Truly amazing after 25 years I have 20 /20 vision and do not need glasses . Dr Arleo took time with me and answered many questions to help me with my decision as well as the staff. I would highly recommend them for any procedure and the office is impeccable for cleanliness !

I was intrigued with the idea of the multifocal lenses as presented to me by the staff at Arleo Associates as a way of perhaps eliminating my need for glasses, even for reading. I was told that insurance does not pay for the "upgraded" lenses and so would be billed approximately $5,000. There was some rather strange comment in the exam from Dr. Arleo about how they carefully consider those appropriate for multifocal lenses, and I did not understand what criteria he was referring to when considering patients for these lenses. I asked lots of questions about the lenses, and was given vagaries about no 100% guarantee, that "everyone is different" to what I would think, was to manage my expectations. I was given a pamphlet from the lens company which showed these highly focused photos after surgery for near, mid-range and distance views. I was happy to think this might be me. Unfortunately, I was not told the potential downsides of these lenses (halos, distance vision is not as good), and so I believe I was sold a bill of goods, not warned about these problems. I do not see as well as I did with glasses and cataracts before the surgery. After the surgery, I was told by another doctor in India that some people have lots of problems with multifocals. I wish I had heard the same from Dr. Arleo. I see without glasses, but acuity is not there. The rating is good because most of the staff were pleasant and seemingly competent.

I went to ER 6/1/2020 because my vision became completely blind at one point and after an hour I had severe blurry and double vision. I was referred by my ER doc to Arleo Eye Associates. I had a conversation with receptionists around at 12:50 pm 6/1/2020. A receptionist whom I spoke with sounded very confident in the beginning. However, she kept changing answers. First, she told me that I won't be charged for any exams related to medical reasons. And she suddenly said, "if we have to do certain procedure, you would be charged 42 dollars because your insurance won't cover it. But anything else will be free." And I asked why medical related procedure will not be covered. And she said she will ask someone else. She gave me an answer and I asked another question. She became aggressive and annoyed to the point that I had to say "Please calm down. I am just asking a question." She said I should talk to another receptionist . I find it to be amazing the number of patient the doctor has and the usual very short wait time. His offices are immaculate, his staff is professional and caring. Doctor Arleo' s extensive training become obvious with your first visit. I recommend highly.

I've been a patient there for many years, going back to when Doctor Bishop was the primary care giver. Since Dr. Arleo assumed responsibility for my care I've been impressed with his in-depth knowledge, his willingness the listen and finding answers to NY inquiries. He staff is great, professional, patient. I recommend Doctor Arleo strongly.
