This is the doctor I got stuck with post hospital. He saw me once and kind of just became routine for me to go to him. He's always refused refills on my medication forcing me to see him on his schedule to never take the time to get to know me (it's been five years). He charged me without notifying me because my insurance was inactive and when I brought this up to him, he said he had no choice and couldn't let my mom know who went to the visits with me because she is a drunk. Very uncanny how he acts super nice to my mom but then when money is on the line, he acts spiteful and his true colors come out. No interaction with him was ever positive. Many times, today included, I felt like crying after our visits because of how he's always bringing me down. He always says unsupportive things without any evidence to support them and says I'm a problem even though he doesn't even know what my actual problem is. I tried asking him for advice regarding my illness and his response was always to raise the MG on my medication or a pronounced silence. He never made me feel welcome, looked out for, or anything positive came out of that relationship. I have left his establishment starting today. Do NOT RECOMMEND. Save your time and look for someone that WILL HELP BECAUSE YOU WILL GET NOTHING HERE.

If I could leave no stars, I would. The absolute worst doctor I have ever encountered. Noncaring, aloof, and obnoxious. The five star reviews here must be from his family members. I am looking into reporting him to the board of psychiatry as he should actually be removed from practicing. He is a disgrace.

My daughter has been locked in Mercy hospital and I have no other way to communicate with the doctor but calling the number for him to call back. I have been calling every day to Dr. Khakhar for past several days leaving messages without a return phone call. I am worried for my daughter’s wellbeing but he simply avoiding my calls. I don’t think he has any type of companions to his patients nor their family members

I have to disagree with Jennifer from South Ozone Parks' Statement! I would Definitely Refer others to Dr. Kokhar! It's Not The Most Fanciest Office, and This is coming from Me/a-Girl who's been to many different Psychiatrists/Offices; From The Fanciest To The Nastiest, and I have never felt more comfortable! The staff seem to get along with one another, as if they are family, which created a warm environment! My 1st Day Visiting Their Office: I Felt as if I was Part Of Their Family As-well!!!
