was told by nurse to get in a gown. He never checked my heart. Got mad because I would not agree to take a NEW med that cost thousands but I could use a coupon from company BUT when you are on medicare they will not accept these. 2 tier three drugs send me into the medicare donut hole and then I can't afford anything. Have to pay 25% of original cost. SO d/t not agreeing to the med I did not receive any attention and was dismissed. I don't think any patient or on elderly should be treated in this manor. He also did not take time to explain what this new drug would do and why he felt I need it. VERY UNHAPPY
Bedside manor is neither here nor there, but basic courtesy and humanity is not too much to expect of a physician. My mother went to 3 or 4 appts. and only during the cardiac cath. did he seem to have any time to answer questions and give relevant info. He did generate a correct diagnosis which took 2 years and several other doctors to get, so for that we were very grateful. The problem occured when at the follow up appt. he refused to look at the info. she had logged, post cath, per HIS request. Dr. Cirbus then proceeded to tell her that he did not, "Have the time or even care to look at" the info she had brought with her regarding daily blood pressures etc. Dr. Cirbus stated that they, "Did not matter." He finished by leaving the room, but not before refusing to answer questions from his patient! Needless to say, that will be her final visit to his practice.
Dr Cirbus is a wonderful physician. He has taken care of me and my husband for many years. He has gotten us through some scary things. Saved my husbands life with his quick action. Cant say enough good things about him. Just a heartfelt thank you!
I was in heart failure with an ejection fraction in the single digits. I am now well on the road to a full recovery thanks to the care decisions that Dr. Cirbus made for me. There is no reason to leave Jamestown, NY for competent cardiological care.
Dr. Cirbus has always been thoughtful and caring. He is a careful listener and his recent Diagnosis of my heart valve problems saved my life. I would highly recommend this skillful And experienced physician.
I have been under Dr cirbus care for a month . very happy with all he has done. I'm glad I didn't listen to all the people talking about his bedside manor! He is a great dr concerned with what he is doing. Not with trying to be your friend!!
Abysmal bedside manor, if he's having a bad day, he will displace his feelings on to the patients & very clearly his staff. Refuse to return, you're advised to find a different cardiologist!
on Christmas day, he took the time to talk to Dad's family honestly. THANK YOU
I HAVE HAD HEART DISEASE MANY YEARS AND SEEN A ANOTHER DR. FOR YEARS,HOWEVER,I HAD TO MOVE TO JAMESTOWN,AND HAD TO CHANGE TO DR. CIRBUS,HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE HE DIDN'T CARE WHAT OR HOW THE OTHER DR. TREATED MY ILLNESS,IT WAS ONLY GOING TO BE HIS WAY NOW!I KNOW MY BODY BETTER THAN HE,I KNOW WHEN MY SYMPTOMS START OR SUBSIDE,AND MAYBE HE NEEDS TO LISTEN TO HIS PATIENTS MORE AND TAKE HEED.I DIDN'T LIKE HIS ARROGANCE,AND TO TOP IT OFF I HAVE BEEN A NURSE FOR 30 YEARS,I DO KNOW!
He is a good cardiologist in general, but no bedside manner and when seeing him in public he doesn't even take a minute to talk to me at all. He more or less just says "Hi" maybe if he says anything at all and doesn't even ask how I am doing or feeling since I haven't seen him professionally in quite a while, he doesn't have the time of day for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
