List of Jeffery Esper's Reviews
I wouldn't suggest him if you want to know whats wrong with you. I had a brain scan several months ago, STILL waiting on results. So 8 days ago he suggested a neck scan, so i thought give him another chance. I was to call 6 days ago for results, they said call in 2 days he didn't have them, called 2 days later and they said they would call me. Did they call, NOPE. I guess its not there life they are messing with. My next scheduled apt is Feb of 2021, Hasn't touched me since my first visit, I was there a few weeks ago, I had to have my brother drive me again, The Dr. sat across the room from me, I was in the room a total of 13 min. Drove 50 miles, for what? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE if you hear his name. His office nurse Amy is very rude too. Seems as you bother her when you call for results,
Dr Esper crossed his arms and told me there was no point in exploring any cause of my disease nor considering other treatments because I “won’t get better anyway“. My mom was with me and couldn’t believe what she witnessed. Shame.
He treated my wife and basically stated that his protocol will be followed when it was questioned . After release from the ICU with a brain bleed thought to be possibly from high blood pressure she was sent to a step down IU and put on 4 hour BP checks after being on constant tracking .I questioned this and was told the staff didn't have the time to check more often. He said he would compromise to three hours ,which I did not accept and insisted on PB tracking more consistently. A hospitalist who checked her BP also agreed that she should be closely monitored for BP fluctuation. It turned out nurses can see the BP from their station and if the alarm is set properly they don't have to check it unless the alarm went off. I agree he is arrogant and pompous in his dealings with patients. I would never recommend him , not because of his qualifications but his attitude of superiority.
an incredible physician.
Dr. Esper is arrogant, belittling and ignorant; three things a doctor should never be. Refuses to discuss treatments that are medically proven to work if he does not "believe" in them. Refuses to read accredited articles provided by patient to show the correlation between treatment and improvement of symptoms. He has no concern for the well being of his patients as long as he is getting paid. Even seen talking down to his own staff in front of patients.
Worst bedside manner ever! Rude, inappropriate comments, poor eye contact, if any. Failed to introduce self when entering room. Made me feel like I was just lucky to get an audience with him. I didn't feel so lucky when I left the office. Actually called to report his inappropriate comments and odd behavior. Will never return!
When Dr. Esper was my neurologist, I began to experience severe symptoms of Depakote toxicity. I had lost my ability to read, write remember, drive, and work. Between Dr. Esper and his PA. they kept adding more and more medicine. He still never figured out what was wrong all I knew was i didn't feel good. I was in a walking coma. I was finally released to Dr. Mayagloue. He identified the problem immediately and sent me to a seizure unit in Pittsburgh. I learned I almost died.
Due to moving and 2 emergency surgeries with our family dog, all in the past 2 month time period, I had to resched a couple appts, and unfortunately missed my appt this past Monday (while pet was in surgery). In trying to sched new appt, & attempting to explain the chaotic nature of my life in past 60 days, staff spoke with Dr Esper, who is now dropping me from the practice. I understand the importance of time, but the lack of compassion here is astounding. Thx for kicking me when I'm down
he was the worst doctor I have ever seen. heartless , cold and I caught him in 3 lies about my medical chart, thankfully my pcp was the one that does all my rx treatments because he noted as well esper did not acknowledge my correct med list even after being told and shown several times. I will never see this creature again!
Very knowledgeable and understanding

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
