Do NOT send your loved ones to this place - I cannot even call it a hospital because that would require actual health care professionals to treat a patient with unbiased care and compassion and actually treat them - YOU WILL NOT FIND THAT HERE. In the past year my mentally disabled son has had grandmal seizures, MANY grandmal seizures, brought in by ambulance. They have not ONCE kept him there for more then 4 hours - NOT ONCE have they done a catscan -the last time he was brought by ambulance with a large goose egg and cut on his head in the area where his skull was shattered from an accident in the past. In fact they did not even treat the wound.- DIDNT DO ANY XRAY NOR CATSCAN instead they will wake him out of a sound sleep and wheel him out the door, while he's crying stating he's in pain, disoriented and confused barefoot, whether he has proper clothes on for the weather without caring if he has a ride home or not. This place hires the worst of the worst. If this was a REAL hospital/Healthcare facility the would abide by the hypocritical oath and treat a patient with unbiased care and compassion. They have no idea how to "treat" a person with epilepsy brought in by ambulance. Even any person off the street can Google the proper procedure for post seizure care, but these supposed medical workers, I refuse to call them professionals because that would require them to abide by the hypocritical oath and actually care about a human being, not,tossing him out within a few hours. And they said it's illegal to video record the mistreatment which in fact is a LIE as long as I do not record the Karen yanking him out of the best while he's sound asleep it is totally legal to document the horrific treatment. Since 2016 my son has been brought to this hospital after having a seizure and not once have they ever done one thing to help him.

Went in to the ER for 1st and 2nd degree burns I got from a seizure in the shower. Was not taken by ambulance so couldn't be charged for that, had a family member that lives with me take me. Got there waiting room was quick, receptionist was nice. Got a room was there maybe 20 minutes for them to slap some burn cream and gauze on the burns and was sent home. Paid $300 when i left. Figured I was done. Get a bill from them later for OVER $2000! For what? They barely did anything besides rub some cream and place some gauze and say looks bad and made a joke of how calm I was and apparently not feeling pain from the burns. Was told to see my primary care physician, but I told them I didn't have one. I only see one for the seizures. They told me they would give me a list of a few which I never got. Even worse a relative of mine went there for a broken leg. They put a "cast" on it and sent him on his way. He went to his normal doctor afterwards and found out they had SET THE BONE WRONG! He had to have it BROKEN AGAIN and set it correctly. This is a horrible HORRIBLE place. If you need a doctor or have an emergency tell them to take you anywhere but here.

Handicapped automatic doors at Building D Imaging and Medical do not work properly at 7 am. This has been an ongoing issue for months. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they do not. This is not fair for people in wheelchairs or people pushing the wheel chairs. UPMC should have the resources to address this issue. This has been an ongoing issue for months. It is a known issue by hospital staff. Response to Business Manager: I filled out the form you mention before and heard nothing from UPMC. I outlined the concern here. Main entrance to building d off Sherman Street where multiple handicapped patrons visit hospital daily.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. I was sent here by Well Now due to tachycardia. The intake was quick and the testing was quick but then we spent the next 10 hours in the waiting room waiting for a bed which it turned out I didn't need. All I needed was a chair so the Dr. (which was a DO not and MD) to tell me that all my tests looked good and I was dehydrated and I needed to hydrate. Extremely frustrating! Would not recommend this ER to anyone. One positive was that the staff were friendly and after sitting there for 9 hours my husband told them that I was diabetic and hadn't eaten since 8:30 AM. This was around 9:30 PM. They did bring me a sandwich.

Stay away from this ER if you can. Unclean, over crowded and seem eager to just send people back with no care. They gave my aunt an enema and sent her home before she moved a bowel.

best overall hospital the staff is super nice

My wife went in this past weekend for UTI infection, with severe pain. I really would not want to list all the negative we went thru but she was admitted on Saturday night and released on Monday. I truly would like to say something good but it was a pretty bad experience. Doctors may have done average with some coaxing on our part to help her. So thru that and grace of God she is at least home and improving.

After being sent to the ER with my husband for an incredibly high blood pressure, by our family doctor, we waited for 7 1/2 hours only to be told that they could not do anything for us and we need to follow up with our family Doctor Who sent us there in the first place. How frustrating not to be able to get some sort of help when you're in need.

Emergency room Dr Mark Haen is absolutely the best Dr to ever Grace the halls of this place! He actually listens to patients and cares. Best bedside manner I've ever seen. He really cares about his patients and stayed hours over his shift to make sure my best friend was tended to as fast as possible and stayed with her until she was discharged. He was her Dr for 10.5 hours!
