Peter Ojo's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Ojo has no bedside manner. Very abrupt and non communitive at the follow up appointment one week after surgery. Staff was not kind when I called at the 3 week point and said I did not feel well. His nurse said there was nothing wrong with me go back to work. Dr. Ojo never called to see what was wrong until after I went to my primary Dr at the five week point about the pain and she contacted him.

Dr Ojo has completed two surgeries on me in 2020, the first was an emergency ulcer rupture, I was transferred from CMH, Norwich to Wilson Hospital for immediate surgery, was in ICU for several days then transferred to cardiac floor for recuperation, ended up being in hospital for almost 4 weeks before release. Dr Ojo supervised my recovery and encouraged me every day to have “patience” with my recovery, but in a most caring way I now appreciate. In Sept 2020 I developed a hernia in the abdominal site and had laparoscopic surgery to repair hernia, again by Dr Ojo and all went well. Follow up appts with Dr Ojo’s office were scheduled timely and very little wait time to see Dr Ojo, he was always very courteous, explained procedures and follow up recommendations. I trust Dr Ojo and I feel he saved my life with the first surgery and would highly recommend him.

Dr Ojo performed surgery on my family member. He botched the surgery then never told us, and tried to cover it up. His incompetence caused my loved one to need several more surgeries to correct Dr Ojo's mistakes. My family member almost died twice from renal failure and other complications. To make matters worse, he did not communicate with family members during Covid, when we weren't allowed to visit. Just today, during a subsequent surgery, 7 months later, the surgeon found staples that were left in his stomach by Dr Ojo. Please beware!!

He was thorough. Friendly and just a pleasure to be around. Made me feel like I was in good hands.

After struggling with a misdiagnosed health condition for two years I was transported by ambulance to Wilson Hospital from a smaller facility for emergency surgery...all Syracuse hospitals were on diversion so I had few options and no prior knowledge of Dr. Ojo. He was waiting for me to arrive ordered tests quickly and I was in surgery early the next morning. My condition was been successfully resolved and I fee better than I had in quite some time. He subsequently referred me to another doctor for a related issue and helped me to quickly obtain an appointment. In the office he is not particularly talkative but is pleasant and polite and has answered all of my questions completely so I have felt informed. I am grateful he was able to help me

A couple years ago doctor Ojos saved my life when I didn't know I had an ulcer and had to be rushed in and since then I've never had any complications nor did I have any complaints or complications then about the care and love I got therefore I highly recommend the very great and Powerful dr. Ojo to anyone looking to be in great hands!

Dr. Ojo accurately diagnosed my condition ordered the appropriate preop tests explained what the surgery would entail and always asked if I had any questions. I understood what the surgery entailed what the benefits and risks were ahead of time since he had discussed these with me ahead of time. There were no surprises. He is very confident and with good reason. I have had no post op issues and the post op care in his office was excellent. I believe he cares about his patients welfare and i am very thankful that I had Dr. Ojo for my surgeon.

Dr Ojo is a wonderful surgeon. I had emergency surgery back in September 2016 and he also operated on me in December 2016. He was very thorough in his explanations of "what to expect" and "what procedures he would need to perform". There were no surprises. He is very confident and he is a straight shooter. He truly cares about his patients. I feel very fortunate that Dr Ojo was the one who performed both of my surgeries - i have total faith and confidence in him. I cant thank him enough!

Dr. Ojo is killing my mother. She underwent simple hernia surgery. He knicked her bowels then tried to cover it up. She developed a wound where it became so bad food from her digestive tract was found inside the wound and he would insist the wound was superficial to cover his tracks. He denied any issues. She is now at a different hospital undergoing emergency surgery to fix what he destroyed. Please keep your loved ones abd yourself away from this doctor.
