List of John R Kearney's Reviews
Dr. Kearney did not answer questions or explain my condition. At one point, he told me I was there for another condition altogether. Makes me question if I was given the right treatment at previous visits.
Dr Kearney and staff have been wonderful. I have had a serious eye problem which has required multiple visits. He has been available by phone for any issues. The staff is lovely.
Deceptive to the point of almost insurance fraud. We made appointments for routine eye exams for myself, wife, and daughter. At no time, during taking the reservations, before the exams, or after the exams, did they inform us that they do not bill VISION insurance. I spoke with their billing department, Tina D, and she has been instructed to NEVER bill vision insurance. While taking the reservations, the office person "verified" that our insurance would be accepted and made the appointments. Our MEDICAL insurance did not cover any portion of the procedure because....we have vision insurance.
No other can compare. AAA care n service w a sincere heart for the health of his patients. I only wish I still lived in NY to receive the AAA service I received while being his patient for ten yrs. Thank God for him. I really appreciate d him n his staff for those ten yrs. Now living in AZ n the way blacks are treated along w a filling health system in the US I feel like a number n condition not a human being who has a condition that he so passionately n sincerely cared about the health of my eyes. God Bless him n his staff.
I seen this man for over 30 yrs. FOR NOTHING!! Lost total site in one eye. Same problem started in the only eye I had left. Now mind you I had slight inflammation and a cataract starting to form in my only eye I could still see out of. But he tells me it wasn't bad enough for him to want to do anything about it, said he would see me in 6 months. Well I only made it 4 months and had to go back as my vision was getting worse, even with my glasses on. At that 4 month visit he told me same thing was happening to the only eye I could still see out of that happened to my other one and THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO ABOUT IT!! What a jerk. Then he got up and walked out... After he told me he would see me in 6 months again. Well long story short I left crying and never went back, only to pick up my medical records which they didn't want to give me at all. I trusted this dr. After seeing him for all those yrs who wouldn't...Well Been seeing a new eye Dr for almost 10 yrs now, actually 2 eye Drs. They are awesome. The only bad thing is that cataract has got to the point now that I need surgery and can't have a new lens put in, due to other complications in my eye caused from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Yes peeps RA can effect your eyesight. Please take warning Kearney has gotten very rude, cruel, egotistical and just plan out nasty to his patients. Just beware because had I have listened to him I would be totally blind by now. Thank god for my new Drs.
If you like being treated like you are beneath then this is the doctor you want to visit. Dr. Kearney is a nasty, negative, egocentric, and rude towards his patients. His staff is incompetent and his wife treats people with a nice attitude which is completely fake. I personally saw her treating someone "nicely" yet the moment this elderly woman left she went on to speak negatively and very nasty about her patient with other staff members and all the patients can hear the laugh and what was being said. Aside their attitude they are not very good at what they do. I changed doctors and it turns out that my new doctor was able to do for me in two month what Keraney's office couldn't do for me in three years (that's the saddest part of all). If you don;t have bedside manners at least be very competent at what you do but in this office you can't find either one.
His wife is great to work with. Warm, caring, effective.
Dr. Kearney acts like he doesn't really care about me, his patient. He is unresponsive, doesn't directly answer questions when asked and I've had just really lousy experiences with him. My understanding also is that he was disciplined and had to surrender his license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.
I know with all the malpractice suits against that can't be a good thing. He is udderly rude and seems like a egomaniac.Plan on waiting for a long time during your appointment. No wonder he went bankrupt and the way it appears it will happen again. And please pay your taxes because Nathan Littauer will not bail you out again since you have nothing left to offer
This doctor is a total loser. He doesn't pay his taxes, treats his patients like crap and could care less about my eyes. He wisked me out of the exam room after 30 seconds and sent me a bill for a service never performed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
