List of Mcauley Residence's Reviews
As a Professional Registered Nurse, I would not recommend McAuley Residence for anyone looking for rehabilitative services. The place is a poorly managed rehab. facility especially for orthopedic patients. Patients are placed in the 'common area' (an area near the nurses station), in wheel chairs to be watched by staff like a herd of sheep. Patients pay for a room not a hallway. If the staff was managed appropriately this would not be 'necessary for safety' as the excuse goes. Their are many other issues that I won't get into. However, the fault is not mainly on the staff, it is the management of the facility that is to blame.
Well my experience was about 10 months ago, but because of having to do it all again soon, they took good care of me and probably go back except for the fact that I want a private room...room room issue was a bad experience there, but for rehab...yep all the way
Not a good experience.
I have just spent 1 and 1/2 weeks here for aftercare from a knee replacement. I cant rave enough about the staff here. Ring your bell and within minutes someone comes. The staff takes the time to listen to your concerns. The rehab personnel are the best. They encourage you to go to your utmost limits to get the most out of your rehab. They are extremely encouraging and the best in what they do. The food was great. Have to give this place 5 stars as it was the cleanest house besides all the professional staff. They're the best. I'd highly recommend mcauley to anyone in need of their services.
3 residents had to wait 35 minutes to get assistance to bathroom..I had to call main # to get assistance..I asked aid who finally came why the delay, she said they had to clear dirty dishes from rooms first...when I asked if dirty did were more important than the patients, she said "that's the way it is ". Food disgusting, processed roast beef in perfect matching rectangles with no moisture...don't want what they serve...they give me PB&J. They substitute at will, with what little I had choice of....cereal,soda,toast....gave diabetic Frosted Flakes??? Rehab was good, helped but only 2 hours a day,6 days a week...could not find way to get outside in nice little courtyard...could not find anyone to wheel me to dining area...they just continued to serve meals in room. 22 hours a day in room....some lucky residents get wheeled to a lobby with big screen tv ...where they sleep in their gowns --social hour. Wi-Fi poor or nonexistent...cable selection was ok ..hospital bed was a hospital bed...had recliner but took toll on back...they give extra strength Tylenol for chronic pain they induced..2 hours sleep per night. Weekend staff was rude,unresponsive....Not Everybody, just majority enough to make it more miserable.
93% of the staff was very hopeful and nice to me and some of the patients, but they try to keep you longer then you need to be there and the food was nasty plus they kept handing me the same food i didn't eat and sent back. I had the chicken salad had cellophane and it didn't taste good at all so I tore the cellophane and tied it and rewraped it and they sent it back to me later that nite and I put my gum in the cellophane under the plate and sent it back and the next 2 days for lunch and dinner they sent me the same dish after I already informed the kitchen that its tucked up that they kept sending me the same platter and they called me a liar until I told them to look under the plate in the middle of the cellophane that tied in a knot there will be a small piece of blue gum in the knot. I will never go there again for physical therapy treatment or stay as a patient unless I have someone bring me food to eat.
When I worked for Catholic Health Systems, this was one of he locations I was assigned to.
Would give it a zero if I could! Wish I would have known just how bad it was before I sent my father there.
My uncle came here for rehab after knee replacement surgery, I can't say enough about this place, the staff are very helpful, the therapy did miracles, the place is so clean, thank you everyone .
My boyfriends grandmother is here and she has told us on countless occasions that the nurses there won't help her put on her depends and she is 92 and cant do it herself, she has a hard time. They give her attitude, tell her if she cant use the bathroom on her own that she will have to pee herself. She requests preparation H and we usually end up bringing it to her because they dont apply enough or they wont apply any at all. I would like to put a camera in her room to see exactly what's going on in this place. My grandmother was in a home and I believe his grandmothers accusations because of this. It's an easy job and most people brush off what elderly people have to say but I truly believe her. I had gone to the desk to ask for ice chips and 3 of the employees just sat further back on the computers ignoring me for a good 5 minutes until finally acknowledging I was standing there. Not happy at all. Be careful if your loved one is here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
