I have been going to Dr. Stewart for over 10 years due to shoulder issues both right and left. He has always had the right treatments for all of my issues. I know it is hard to get an appointment because he is the best.
Dr.Stewart Performed A Shoulder Procedure On My Granddaughter.. He Is Extremely Talented And Explains The Entire Process.. My Granddaughter Is Doing Swell And Back To Gymnastics Really Soon… Thanks Again DR. Stewart..
Dr. Stewart is awesome! He takes the time to explain and to listen. Wonderful bedside manner. I have been seeing him for several years now and I highly recommend him.Dr. Stewart is awesome! I was not given pre op instructions how to use sling. It was improperly fitted when I left surgery. I was given post op instructions right after surgery while still heavily sedated so I had no recollection. I couldn’t reach him to ask questions. He was out of office for one month with no one taking his patient calls. I never recovered mobility. He found bone on bone arthritis only after the rotator cuff repair. I now need a total reverse shoulder replacement because the rotator cuff is still compromised.
In attempting to get an appt with Dr Stewart (since I had surgery with Dr Riskic in the same practice) I had my MRI and x-ray results sent to the office. After 3 weeks of trying to get him to 'accept' me as a patient, he kept asking for my MRI results, which were in the file (for 3 weeks!). Because he made the mistake, he refused to take me as a client, without even knowing my case. Talk about a 'god complex', and it was clear he did not work well with his office staff. Why would I be penalized for his mistake? I wouldn't want someone to operate on me who could not admit they made a simple clerical error. What a waste of time.
I have been going to Dr. Stewart for years now, I find him caring, professional and honest. He performed surgery on my knee a few years back and brought me great relief. The practice however is a different story it is next to impossible to get through on the phone and when you do the people are downright rude. And the Poughkeepsie Office is like a zoo.
The best doctor I’ve ever had hands down. He REALLY listened and REALLY his took time to explain everything…makes you feel like you’re his only patient. He is very accommodating if any issues arise, even told me his scheduler would text him and he would come in to the office to see me from home after my surgery. Would give 100 stars if I could.
I would like to thank Doctor Stewart for a knowledgeable, succinct evaluation of my Shoulder issue. In two sessions, he took the time to evaluate my shoulder directly and by interpreting an MRI. With all the data, he took the time to explain the mechanics of the shoulder and reason for my pain. After that, he explained options and was eager to answer my questions. He balanced the reality of the illness, with sensitivity to my hesitation about putting an active lifestyle on hold. We concluded with a true mutual understanding of my situation and a plan to mitigate my pain without surgery at this time.
Dr Stewart was professional knowledgable and caring when I had knee pain. I am much better after the proscribed treatment and would definitely recommend him!
Dr. Stewart gave me the confidence to be aggressive in my PT exercises while taking a conservative approach to my recovery. I appreciate the time he took to listen to my concerns and to evaluate the issues with my injury. I have my range of motion back without jumping to unnecessary medical intervention. A nice bonus is that I wasn't kept waiting for my appointments at the Rhinebeck office. They have mastered scheduling!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
