List of Ayesha Cheema Md's Reviews
Dr Cheema is a gentle, intelligent and compassionate doctor. She has been my Dr for years, monitoring thyroid issue. She is not just interested in my diagnosis but discusses all medical issues. She is a wonderful doctor. It's such a shame she has moved to MAHV, an association known for over reaching and prescribing medically unnecessary tests..all for $$
Dr Cheema is a highly respected doctor in the area. I had tried several years ago to see her but she was not accepting new patients. Now she is but her staff of gatekeepers make it impossible to get to her. She needs to be aware of her front office and how disrespectful and inflexible they are
Dr Cheema uses a holistic approach to patient care .It is a dying art rarely found in upstate NY.
She is a wonderfull doctor. Very kind and patient.
A doctor with excellent up to date knowledge on diabetes. I like talking to her. and I can rely on her for my diabetes needs.
Dr. Cheema is an excellent physician. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive.
Much dishonesty about condition. Unfriendly and uncommunicative. Seeing this man is a complete waste of time.
My dad had a movement disorder similar to Parkinson's. First, Dr. Cheema insisted that he come to the office each month even though he couldn't stand or walk and had to be lifted into the car and wheelchair. They did this because Medicare only pays them if the patient comes to the office. If the patient has to be seen at home with home care, Medicare "dings" the doctor"s office. So rather than do what was best for my dad and us, they forced him to make an arduous trip there repeatedly. Second, they denied my father services such as nursing and physi cal therapy because the third party Medicare company, Freedom, "dings" them for these home services, as they cost the company money. The Medicare laws are very clear that terminally ill patients can't be denied needed services just because they are terminally ill. However, this doctors office will refuse to even submit a request to Freedom or other Medicare companies because they say it will be denied. The truth is, it's not legally deniable, they Just don't want to get a bad mark from Freedom for running up their costs.. Th research is clear about the benefit of physical therapy when a person has a movement disorder like my dad's. But the insurance companies pressure the doctors because they don't want to pay for it at home.. Dr Cheema did what was best for her business even though it meant denying my dad services he was entitled to. He needed speech therapy too because he was losing his voice, and he needed a nurse to visit him at home because he had trouble breathing and eliminating and swallowing. Again, dr. Cheema would not even submit the request for authorization. Third, the office rarely returned my calls and took more than 2 days when they Did. Fourth, dr. Cheema told my dad to go to a nursing home. My dad wanted to be at home and cared for by his wife and daughter who were more than willing to. We just couldnt provide the nursing and specialized services. However, again, dr cheema was not interested in what was best for my dad, just what was best for her "business." She is a sell out and a coward amd it's disgusting how she can dismiss the well being of patients to make herself look good with the insurance companies. Stay away if you have more than a cold and expect your doctors to put your medical needs first.
I've been a patient of Dr. Cheema's for years. She is intelligent, patient, caring, and well informed. Everything that you would hope for in your doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
