List of Paul Bushkuhl Md's Reviews
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I was his patient for over 6 years. Never know who he is going to be day to day. Our visits were often and regular at their request so I have had about 25 to 30 visits. I am legally disabled and have intractable pain. Dealt with a lot in over 6 years until suddenly being abandoned during the pandemic over frustration getting my scripts on time which was a monthly problem. Even Nekos pharmacy wrote to them more than once about MAHV not getting my scripts to them on time to be filled. Regularly up to 11 calls to sort out issues getting meds refilled. His staff lies to him and then he lies to his patient. I have caught him lying about test results like one for vitamin D where instead of saying I didn't test that he said my level was fine twice. I go home and review bloodwork to find otherwise. He didn't check my D, then I got Osteoporosis at 35. He might seem kind and caring one visit and the next one he might be dismissive, rude and inappropriate. He may overreact to anything said when seeking help. At times his behavior was erratic and shocking. He told me in my 30's, in response to needing normal reasonable medical attention, that I should just "go to a nursing home". He told me I should "give up" seeing specialists after going to a Dr of his choice that was not a helpful experience and he dismissed his colleagues nonsense report on me and threw away the record from Dr. Mullin. I had several specialists who I wanted to see and he refused to give a referral. I can't give up. I have multiple chronic degenerative illnesses. I am permanently and totally disabled. I'm fairly certain that is why he put me on 12 prescriptions a month, 5 were controlled substances. His office Repeatedly over years messed up sending my scripts to the pharmacy. I've had to call the weekend emergency Doctor to write scripts due to office failure to help. It was painful getting his office to do anything the Dr said to do or get forms signed for DSS or SSDI or home health aid paperwork. My homehealth agency offers to get me a handicap bathtub with Dr approval and when I told him of this great news he mocked me and slumped in his chair and actually waved his legs and arm in the air to simulate me in the tub. Drowning? Hot water is the only relief I get. It was insane. He has mocked my hand and knee braces like a mad man or snotty child. A specialist he sent me to said Dr. Bushkuhl is "neglecting" me. He repeated that opinion at other visits. I was neglected on many visits to Dr. Bushkuhl. I could give many more accounts of the unprofessional unpredictable behavior by him and his staff it's too much to list. I stayed out of fear that no other GP would offer the same pharmaceutical help and they didn't as suspected. Little did I know how dangerous his script writing was among other things. The sudden dismissal could easily have killed me in part due to abrupt discontinuation of meds. He traumatized me. He already mocked me for my PTSD diagnosis from a psychiatrist of his choice. I believe he said 'I guess you have PTSD...I don't know what that's about but whatever '. My mental and physical wellbeing seemed not to concern him or his staff. I was verbally abused by him. He refused to write referrals. Had zero concerns about lesions actively growing in my spine. Dr. Paul Bushkuhl Is not a good person or Doctor. Save yourself and go somewhere else where maybe they have intelligent staff and understand compassion. Truly heinous practice and MD. Can't express enough how terrible the entire experience was.
Every time I call for my prescription THAT IS ESSENTIAL TO MY WELL BEING. I call days before I run out and IF I get an operator to talk to me about my prescription refills I always get terrible attitudes. I have had to call upwards of 5 times to get my prescription at times. My grades in school have suffered due to this place letting me run out of my ADD meds and then making me call 5 times to get it refilled… even when I call a week in advance I always find myself going several days without my prescription due to the how bad prescription refills are here… I have been calling to get my prescription refilled for years at other places and know what information to leave and do it clearly every time and have never had an issue… but yeah don’t so much as think of having this dude as your prescribing doctor if you need ADD meds…
If anyone gives dr Bushkuhl less than 5 stars could be very personal and understandable to me. The crème of the crème in everything. Lucie N
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have Dr. Bushkuhl as my primary doctor. He has a wonderful manner, pays very close attention to every detail, listens carefully and responds with concise reasoning for his diagnosis. His communication skills are excellent as is his level of care.
Dr. Bushkuhl is one of the very best doctors I have ever seen. He is a good listener and evaluator. He is incredibly knowledgable. He diagnosed my lyme disease early enough so that it did not progress to the debilitating condition it known to be. In general, he is just the best.
Dr Bushkuhl is the best doctor I have ever seen in New York. I moved from Manhattan to Kingston and was worried about finding a good doctor after my good experience in The city. I consider myself very lucky to find him and referred him to my all family. He is a good listener and has a wonderful diagnosis and he follows up very closely with each condition. La crème de la crème. I highly recommend him.
The best doctor in the Hudson Valley

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
