List of MIchael Brisman's Reviews
Dr. Michael Brisman was a God send! Having suffered from trigeminal neuralgia for around 18 months, being treated with medications that ceased bringing any relief, under the care of a different Neurologist, I was so very fortunate to find Dr. Brisman. After reviewing the available options I chose to have the microvascular decompression surgery which completely stopped the extremely painful effects of this condition. The Mayo clinic refers to trigeminal neuralgia as 'the most painful human condition known to science' and I can attest that it is brutal. Dr. Brisman bought complete and lasting relief for me. My operation was on November 11th, 2011 and I've been able to live a life free of this awful condition ever since. Please see Dr. Brisman if you are suffering from this. You will thank him every day thereafter.
If anyone you know has trigeminal neuralgia do not hesitate to let them contact Dr. Michael Brisman. He is extremely qualified and compassionate. I have had trigeminal neuralgia and Dr. Brisman has operated on me with success.
I had a consultative call about a facial nerve disorder and Dr. Brisman was patient with every question and gave thorough and thoughtful explanations, much appreciated!
Dr. Michael Brisman saved my life by having done a resection of the prolactinoma I had in my pituitary gland. Since then, many of my endocrine functions were restored. Dr. Brisman is a one of a kind neurosurgeon. You can literally count such specialists by ones in the US, if not in the entire world. It takes passion in medicine, eagerness to change people’s lives, incredible focus and orientation to detail, knowledge and unique expertise. Dr. Brisman has it all. I also would like to acknowledge the professionalism and care that the staff of the facility approach patients with. Special thanks to Romana, who works as the intake coordinator in Dr. Brisman’s Rockville Centre location. She does her job outstandingly. To briefly introduce myself, I am the Member of Medical Expert Committee at the WHO, President of Public Health Advisory of the Borough of Brooklyn (yes, I came to Dr. Brisman all the way from Brooklyn to Long Island), International Consultant at the IOLG with the UN.
Very Professional and Knowledgeable
Dr Brisman is very kind and helpful, however.. the staff is completely terrible. I have a chronic condition and one day I had a flare up, and a coworker helped me to call Dr Brisman’s office to make an appointment.. he doesn’t speak very well English and told the secretary that he WILL MAKE HIS BEST TO SPEAK, but the lady told him to CALL BACK WHENEVER HE FINDS SOMEONE WHO CAN SPEAK ENGLISH! How rude! I can only have something to say: despicable staff.
Excellent. I have been seeing him a little over 3 years. Care & service is excellent. Thank you Dr. Brisman & staff.
Several years ago, Dr. Brisman performed a brain biopsy for my father. There were 'complications' as we were told (by his partner) and he came out of the biopsy half paralyzed. Luckily, he regained the ability to walk pretty quickly but not the ability to use his left hand. Dr. Brisman didn't even have the audacity to show up the next day and see how my father was doing, or the day after that-- or at all. Not even a phone call. It's nice that other people have had pleasant experiences with him, I only wish I could say the same. I would never ever recommend him.
This man is a life saver!!!!!!!! I’m so grateful to have him as my Neirosegeon. I feel safe to know I can call on Dr Brisman at anytime of the day or nite and he’s there.
I had trigeminal neuralgia for several months and was maxed out on all the meds. I finally went to Dr Micheal Brisman who performed an ablation on it and in 5 days the pain was completely 100% gone. That lasted about a year untill the nerve came back to life again, so the 2nd time I did not wait and had it done immediately. I got all my pre-surgical testing done followed by the surgery within a week. He is truly a life saver and I'm also grateful to his receptionist who was forever patient on the phone with me when I was hardly able to even speak. It has been about 4 years now and I havent had a single flare up since. I've read that some people fear the surgery, but it was so quick and I was out the same day. The only thing that felt different besides not being in pain, was a small area of numbness inside were it was done. My skin and mouth still have all its sensation. I feel it's the equivalent of getting a tooth pulled and having an empty space there that you quickly get used to. Should my nerve ever fire up again, I would have it done again without hesitation. If you are suffering from trigeminal neuralgia, please dont put it off. Thank God for this surgery and to Dr Brisman and his staff. They are absolutely wonderful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
