He does not deserve even one star...I was just higher Schooler when I broke my scaphoid bone (bone that holds my wrist) It was supposed to be just one easy operation, that ended up being 2 separate failed surgeries and huge scars and pain for the next 5 years I still get the pains., Worst doctor ever...i remember I use to make appointments so ask about the pain and he will just brush me off and say (are u doing therapy? are you keeping ur hand still when u sleep?) Worst Doctor...he ruined my football career completely. Thanks to him, I now have to work 9-5 job. ****You
Terrible. Wort Dr. ever!!!!!!!!!! After he does your surgery, he wants nothing to do with you.
Terrible! After some difficulties with what I felt was unsympathetic treatment by him and his staff, I requested copies of my medical records. I was shocked to discover that after he leaves an exam room, the notes he enters are very inaccurate as regards the actual conversation, in some cases insulting, full of omissions and tailored so as to make the patient appear uncooperative and difficult. While he is very friendly to your face, once out of your presence, he is the exact opposite. Truly, Jeckel and Hyde!
Very two faced! Friendly while in the room, he leaves to enter notes that are not reflective of the content discussed, inaccurate, and, in some cases, insulting. I only be came aware of this behaviour when, I response to his uncaring attitude about continuing and uncomfortable post-op pain, I requested copies of my records at the advice of an attorney. His notes make it appear that I was uncooperative, ignored advice and, worse, much of what I discussed as regards my concerns as a musician, never appear any where! I believe he botched my operation and has left me permanently injured. Now I must find another doctor to confirm this and an attorney willing to take my case, when Dr. DeCamp has neatly slandered me in his case notes. A horrible man!
I saw Dr DeCamp yesterday and in 2017 for the same issue but different hands. My finger would lock up and the burning pain was awful. He knew immediately what was going on & explained it to me in detail. He is a kind and caring doctor who knows his stuff! Both times I was given an injection. My 2017 hand has been great. No more pain or locking. Now on day 2 my other hand is feeling so much better already! I reccomend Dr DeCamp highly.
I saw Dr DeCamp in Nov 2017. He explained exactly what was happening with my finger then gave me an injection. He was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable.
i had hand surgery performed by Dr. Decamp. The surgery went smoothly and so did the healing process. i would absolutely recommend Dr. Decamp.
Excellent care for three surgeries on my husband's hands. Always prompt, courteous, takes time to explain everything. Terrific doctor. Would recommend him without reservation.
Dr DeCamp did my surgery... carpel tunnel and sequel veins roughly 6 years ago. Since then I have started having issues.... tendon issues, bubbles in the skin near where he did my surgery. A month ago he tells me too wear a brace a night if it bothers me and do hand excersizes. Yesterday he tells me after spraining it and hurting the tendons wearing the brace is bad and because I have no PT visits due to insurance he can't do anything. He didn't even TRY to see what's really wrong!
He has bad bed side manners & if you still have problems after the carpal tunnel surgery he will not look into what other issue's can be causing you the pain.
Dr. Decamp is a highly recommended surgeon for hands. I thought he was professional and friendly, and had a good bedside manner. I do think I should have had another follow up visit. I had both hands operated on (carpal tunnel), and have had no real issues, other than some pain that is to be expected; which is slowly going away. I would recommend him highly.
Dr. DeCamp was professional and very easy to understand when he explained to my son, who has down syndrome, what he was going to do. He talked directly to him, not to me, like many other doctors do! I was impressed. Did a wonderful job with the surgery and aftercare. Took the time to answer all of my son's questions and he had a lot! Never once felt rushed when he was with us. Staff was wonderful also, especially the physician's assistant who removed my son's stitches. Very concerned with his comfort and understanding level. I would highly recommend!
Worse doctor I think I have ever seen. Spends no time listening to patient's concerns/issues. Does however spend plenty of time recording "notes" on a recorder before and after your appointment within earshot of other patients. If you want to constantly remind him of your ongoing issues with no solution--go see him. Office he works out of (Northeast Ortho) might as well be a cattle farm with patients waiting to go for slaughter. It seems as though the concern does not lie in helping patients, but billing them repeatedly for things that do not work and pushing them out the door worse than they were before they went in. Been dealing with an ongoing issue for years now that has become worse after his "care". His solution? Countless rounds of physical therapy, braces in every color and a "suck it up" attitude. If you're looking for a caring, professional orthopedic doctor look elsewhere!
He is the worst doctor every & im in more pain then ever after my surgery. I will never ever see him again & do not recommend him. He seems not to care when you go back to tell him that you are still experiencing pain he will tell you to see another doctor cause there is nothing he could do.
Dr. Decamp operated on my hand for carpal tunnel syndrome more than 8 months ago. I went through physical therapy, and that did not help. I am in worst pain now than I was before the surgery. At times, I can hardly use my hand. It is still extremely sore, and very weak. I have a hard time writing and doing everyday tasks. I also have fibromyalgia but have had numerous surgeries with no complications at all. I told Dr. DeCamp of the pain I have in my hand. He took my hand and rubbed his finger over the place where he had made the incision. He commented to me about how well it has healed. In my opinion, all her cares about is the art of the surgery. He was so enamored by his work and fixated on the fact that the incision healed so well, he didn't care about anything I had to say. He said, " I'm a surgeon, there's nothing I can do about the pain, go see your primary care, tell her to send you to physical therapy." Then he got up and left the room. No compassion AT ALL!!! I would not recommend him to anyone. I could have received more compassion from a dog. I just wish I knew how heartless he was before I had my surgery.
