After many years of Excruciating back pain from an injury in 1991. Doctor Cappuccino & his team improved the quality of my life 10 years ago. ❤
Dr C is awesome if you can get in with him.. His receptionist in the back is all sweet when the Dr is around but try to make an appt with him is rediculous! I had to have surgery and saw him. He was so compassionate and the plan he had for me to fix my lower back was great! However when I went to make the appt for my surgery over the phone his receptionist I believe her name was Diane wouldn't make my appt. She said I needed $1200 up front for what the insurance I had wouldnt cover. I asked her if I could send in $800 and the rest on my appt. She said "No"! So I had to wait until I could borrow it from my daughter who took out a loan! Well I was so far gone by that time he immediately sent me for surgery that week! After that my bill was only $800! I waited until I could barely walk for nothing! The worst was after when I had to come back for the next surgery on my neck. I could not get an appointment with DrC.. I would set it up with DrC but end up with Eric the P A! The 2nd time I specifically said Dr C but again Eric! Again I tried for Dr C and before I left Rochester for the hour and half ride in a medical transportation ride I called to verify!! The person who answered the phone said yes ! When I got there they had no appt!! And no one knew who told me it was confirmed!! Lastly I had my medical dr call for me. However again no Dr C!!! So I felt that I was being sabotaged by the receptionist that is all sweet in back when the drs are around but a real bitch to me when they aren't! I had sent a few friends there and they all said the same thing about her! Well I haven't had my neck surgery and it's been a few years! Looking for someone to replace him is difficult! I had trust in him and I can't see him! Bye Dr C I hope you read this and others about your staff! It's a real shame as your a great dr. That's only reason 3 stars!!
Best doctor I've ever had. When others screwed me up then gave up doctor cappuccino didn't. He stayed with it till he had me back on my feet. Great doctor great staff
This is a hard one for me because I don't write 1 star reviews unless it really is the right thing to do. But His receptionists need to be FIRED or something. When I called today (having heard nothing but great things about the doctor) I was shocked to find that the staff could not have been more presumptive or rude and would not even allow me to schedule an appointment. At first, I never got a call back after the first time I called which was weeks ago.So I called again today. Mind you I was referred to this specific doctor by both 2 different doctors (one of them a neurologist), because of degeneration in my neck which has already limited my life and mobility severely. So needless to say I felt anxious but encouraged to see this doctor who seems to be the guy that my other providers feel is the only one they would recommend. The very sassy receptionist told me that they just don't take my insurance because it's not provided by an employer. I am an employer. I provide my own. So I sat there on the phone with my jaw dropped for a moment before asking what kind of insurance do I need. And instead of just explaining in any kind of helpful way what I could do, she just repeated herself and got ruder and ruder each time. Then she told me to hold on and put me on hold.Next another person answer the phone (unexpectedly) and did pretty much the same exact thing. Eventually I got one of them to say "well you could purchase commercial insurance" but this doctor still wont see you. Go to Dr. so and so (because he is a neurologist!). LET ME CLEAR, I WAS REFERRED BY A NEURO..... FROM THE VERY OFFICE..... THAT THESE RECEPTIONISTS (not the dcotor)..... TRIED TO JUST PASS ME OFF TOO....To which I got fed up and said, you know, it's careless that I would be referred to this doctor.... and not the doctor, but rather his receptionists, speaking for him, says he can't and wont treat me...without ever looking at me, my imaging, reading any of the docs notes or checking what my referral is even for!Excuse me, but What the hell? What did I do to be treated this way whatsoever?I literally just called as both of my doctors referred me to do to this office to set up an appointment and get his professional opinion about what could be done to fix my neck.Should be super simple right?I mean I have a masters, I make good money, I own a mental health practice, I believe in God and being good to people, never use drugs or alcohol.... my point is...I'm the most simple person on the planet. So what in the world made these very young and an incredibly rude women treat me that way and flat out prevent me from even seeing the provider that I have 2 referrals to see so that I can get well.Insurance is not the problem. Buying commercial insurance is noting more than enrolling and writing a check and I can do that within an hour. But I won't even have the chance to see this doctor because ultimately BOTH OF HIS RECEPTIONISTS just didn't want me to and went out there way to make that clear. How many other people do they do that to? And does this doctor know how they representing him? I wonder.
Being a (prior) patient of Dr. Cappuccino, I have never had an experience that a fellow poster has had, but it also seems like he has had similar problems elsewhere (see below). Everyone has their days, but in my interaction, the whole office staff has always been pleasant to not only me, but the fellow patients I've sent. I have since moved, so sadly haven't been in there in about 6 months, but every time I call, it is all the same voices and staff I am greeted with. Don't let a few bad apples tarnish your opinion of this office.Pinnacle Orthopedic & Spine SpecialistsOrthopedic clinicDowntownPLACE DETAILSCM Schabert2 hours agoI received a referral to Pinnacle Orthopedic from the office of Dr. Nenno, who is in-network for Aetna. Upon calling them, they informed me that they were not in network. I live in NYC and am accustomed to paying to see out-of-network specialists. I informed them this would not be a problem, I would pay upfront. They REFUSED to see me ... they stated that IF I WAS UNINSURED THEY WOULD ACCEPT ME AS A PATIENT AS LONG I MADE PAYMENT BUT THEY WOULD REFUSE TO ACCEPT ME BECAUSE I WAS COVERED BY AETNA, EVEN THOUGH I WOULD PAY UPFRONT.I believe this practice is illegal and I would encourage those with similar experiences to contact me. They also refused to accept me when I informed them I was covered by TRICARE because I am a disabled veteran.YOU DO HAVE A CHOICE WITH HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS - EVEN SPECIALISTS!!! DO NOT USE THE SERVICES OF A SPECIALIST WHO ACTIVELY DISCRIMINATES AGAINST DISABLED VETERANS.Note - The Canada land border restrictions due to COVID 19 does NOT APPLY TO SEEKING MEDICAL TREATMENT. If you have the independent financial means to seek out of network specialists, you do have choices available to you.The owner response is moot as there was no previous injury.
I had my appointment with Dr. Cappucino this morning, I wished I did not cancel my previous appointment with him. This doctor cares about you, takes the time to explain things to you, my impression is that he is a jem, and I just wanted to let everyone know that. Thanks Dr. Cappucino.
Dr. Cappuccino and his staff were very very good they treated me well help me with my medications and physical therapy I can’t say enough he’s the best and his staff is also the best
I am Blessed to have Dr. Cappuccino as my doctor. After living several years of needing neck & back surgery I am now able to experience a better quality of live. He's the best in my opinion.
Dr Cappuccino is such a caring doctor. He takes his time with me and listens to me. I couldn't have a better spine doctor. If you need a spine doctor I highly recommend him and I'm very fussy about my doctor's. He's amazing, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor.
I have had many surgeries over my 59 years. When I went into Dr Cappuccino's office he went into immediate action. Did a direct admission to the hospital and surgery the next day. I could only walk with the assistance of my husband and had spent a year seeing other Drs and Specialists and you name it. NO ONE HELPED. The pain was unlike anything I had ever been in including child birth. When I was taken to surgery the pain was so bad that I was vomiting and couldn't stop. The anesthesiologist put me right under. I woke up in my room. Zero pain and thinking I was pumped up with drugs. My husband informed me of the mess that my spine was in and NO I was not pumped up on drugs. Dr Cappuccino and his team fixed me. This man and his team were Angels sent by God for me. I hope he is around for a very long time doing what he does. If I ever need a spine specialist again, without question, I am going to Dr. Cappuccino.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
