List of Mark A Nelson's Reviews
Dr Nelson has been my doctor for about 10 years. He has great bedside manner and is very intelligent and knows his specialty well. I wouldn’t consider anyone else. His staff can be a little tough at times, but he’s worth it. Another thing about him, he actually cares about his patients. There are plenty of doctors that really don’t care about their patients.
This doctor's secretary is nasty, rude, and completely destroyed my experience of going to him. From the start I was looking for a neurologist that works on the weekends, as my work schedule conflicts with his during the week. Before scheduling my very first appointment, she assured me that he works on Saturdays. However, every appointment that I scheduled for Saturday was canceled, even though I waited for about a month for it, the reason allegedly being that the doctor did not have enough patients for him to come to work in these days. In other words, accountability for the patient does not count. After so many cancelations on Saturdays, I told his secretary to cancel all my further appointments as I refuse wasting my time, waiting for so long, for an appointment that will be cancelled anyway. In addition, in my very first appointment, this secretary made sure that a person who was scheduled for after me was seen before me, even though I was present in the office. When I approached her about this she said that this patient was before me, even though when I scheduled the appointment she told me to come earlier because I would be the first for the day. So now she is not only nasty but a liar as well. I will not go to this doctor again, as I refuse to interact with his secretary in any way. Her attitude is condenscending, to say the least, and she does not have manners to speak with people even over the phone.
My wife's Dr. of 40 years retired, we found Dr. Nelson through our insurance, it is no surprise he knows our previous Dr. and is very much like him, very relaxed and calm, and full of the most current information, it's comforting to know we are in good hands, we highly recommend Dr. Nelson "Thank you Dr.Nelson"
Excellent neurologist! Easy to talk with and listens to all concerns. Orders the appropriate tests and follows up with results.
DR. NELSON AND DANIELL: SIMPLE EXCELLENT IN ALL REGARDS!
It is rare for me to trust a doctor 100%. Dr. Nelson takes his time to explain things to patients. His diagnosis is onpoint, if your ailments are questionable. He has helped both my sons and I as well. I didn't even want to write this review , afraid he would gain so many patients I would never be able to get an appointment! Ha
Dr Nelson has been my dr for over 20 years and as long as I need a neurologist I will continue going to him. He has great bedside manners and is excellent at diagnosis. Dr Nelson stays up to date with new medications and treatments. He has treated me for migraines among other things and my migraines are under control and I have him to thank for that. My headaches were difficult to treat but he never gave up. If you need a neurologist Dr Nelson is an excellent choice - I highly recommend him - you will be in great hands! He is handsome with a kind demeanor.
Dr. Nelson was very kind to my husband who is suffering from memory issues and took his time to explain everything to him. He made us feel very comfortable and we didn't feel like we were being rushed. His P.A. was very nice as well.
Dr. Nelson has an amazing bed side manner. He takes his time, and explores every option. He has made my daughter very comfortable going to the doctor. He is patient and understanding. I hughly recommend him!
Dr. Nelson is helping with my diagnosis with MS, I couldn't picture myself having another Dr help me through this stage of life!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
