Gerald Zaidman's Online Review Report Card

Have been coming here for a corneal opacity and this place has been great. Dr Zaidman is very knowledgeable and helpful. The condition has been drastically improving since coming here. Any questions/concerns outside of the appointment the office admin will handle and get back to you shortly. Yes, the wait could be long but he is also very specific to corneal diseases. People fly from all over the world to see him. There aren’t many doctors around with his expertise. It’s not like you’re waiting a long time to see a general ophthalmologist. Highly recommend this practice.

Great doctor, staff is rude!

I worked at the medical center for 40 years I've known Dr zaidman for a very long time I just never had to use him fortunately unfortunately my eyes have gone bad and I of course knowing him and his reputation I went to him he is also a professor at New York Medical College about 75 to 80% of his patients are children and a child three two years old they have serious eye diseases it's just not I had just some issues so he's well-rounded in all issues of bi but she works with a retina and cornea ologist specialist and he works with the plastic surgeon as well or I should say they work with him and his practice! I highly recommend him

Don't let his rough demeanor fool you, he is a caring & wonderful physician. He helped regain my mother's vision. She was incredibly nervous about the procedure and we could not have asked for a better outcome. She has 20/20 sight out of the eye he performed the procedure on. THANK YOU!

Walked out of my appointment after waiting for an hour. I was sick of listening to the horrible women working for Dr Zaidman who where speaking horribly to a woman who didn’t realize that her insurance had lapsed and was simply trying to figure it out. In addition to the fact that the office felt like a factory makes me sorry that I didn’t read reviews earlier. He might be a good guy but his entire front of house needs retraining or new jobs.

years ago I had a cornea transplant with dr zaidman, six months after surgery I received a letter from the donors family stating that the donor was receiving cornea from someone else. meaning I was given someone elses cornea instead of the donors. I would not have known this if the family didn't contact me.

My son went to Dr. Zaidman as he had a red spot in white of eye. He did not do any tests but said its a tumor - cancerous and would need surgery. He interrupted our examination to tell others on the phone and in his office they needed surgery for their problems. I was scared off. I went to a specialist for second opinion. He took a battery of tests, and said my son had a FRECKLE !!! no surgery needed!! Then he bills me for what the ins didn't pay which he was to have accepted from them!
