I have been a patient of Dr. Charles' for many years. He is so knowledgeable and speaks to you and not above you. His laser treatment on me years ago has preserved my vision. I have complete trust and faith in him.

I went to see Dr. Charles for a second opinion regarding my recently diagnosed macular degeneration. He explained my condition and the treatment for it very well and gave me the impression that he would continue to be open to any questions I might have in the future. His office staff was very friendly. All this stood in stark contrast with the doctor who was treating me, and I am switching to Dr. Charles.

I had a retinal issue that I consulted with my home retina doctor about the day before I left to visit family in Mt. Kisco for Christmas. My home town doctor recommended a follow up appt. with a specialist near MK the following week. The rentina specialists recommended to me were rude, had me show up with a negative COVID test result but still refused to take me as a patient, and basically changed the rules of engagement twice so I was unable to be seen. Fortunately, Dr. Charles was available to see me for this very timely check up I needed. The person I first spoke to was compassionate to my plight and got me in to see Dr. Charles the next day. He was thorough, professional and sent excellent records to my retina doctor at home. I would highly recommend Dr. Charles and his staff.

Dr. Charles has been my doctor for about twenty-five years. He is a true professional, explains and answers all questions about my concerns and problems. His staff over the years have been very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The wait time in his office is minimal. I trust him explicitly and would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a great ophthalmologist.

I have been seeing Dr Charles for 10 years. He repaired a partially detached retina at that time. He's a skilled surgeon and a very decent human being.

In 1991 I had a retinal tear without detachment. Dr. Charles opted for cryotherapy. He conferred with Dr. Kalkut, primary physician at the time, who concurred with Dr. Charles' decision. The procedure was successful. Dr. Charles took care of me for over twenty years. He is an excellent physician with a kind caring manner. My physicians in Virginia comment on the level of care I initially received with Dr. Charles.

I am not a person that writes many reviews so, please take this one to heart. Dr. Charles and his incredibly talented team at his Mount Kisco and Rye offices are to accept all credit for saving my eyesight... However much people want to write one-star reviews because they didn't get seen within five minutes of their appointment time, I found this office to be incredibly astute to the needs and emergent situations of their patients, which sometimes hinders folks from getting seen at their scheduled time. (Regarding the above-mentioned review, the man has written 9 of his 10 reviews with 1-star indicating he is quite a cranky thing to say the least.) I, for one, will ALWAYS visit a Doctor who puts his priorities in patient care rather than business first. I am able to see after a detached retina/torn retina due to this office taking the time to understand the critical nature of my condition and making the surgery happen in a critical timeframe. Bravo to Dr. Charles and his team for outstanding customer service in my time of dire need. You saved more than my eyesight - something I will always be indebted to you folks for.
