List of Gary D. Goldberg's Reviews
Dr Goldberg is very knowlegable and compassionate and takes time to explain and discuss you issues
Had to wait an hour and half to see him on my first visit. He gave me a script for an MRI for 6 months later. I waited for him to call me w results, after waiting for 5 days and being told mri wasn’t ready .. I myself got copies and had it forwarded to his office. His secretary told me that he was going to call me on Friday by 3 pm, waited all day and weekend and didn’t get a call back. Called again on Monday and spoke to secretary she said he would call me back the following day by 5 pm and he never called back, now I’m looking for another urologist to get them to review the results and give treatment options . Stay away

Just wanted to reply to the first very negative review on this list. I just want to say that my experience with Dr. Goldberg has been exactly the opposite of what that gentleman describes. I agree that the office wait can be longer than I like, but when I get in he is very caring and takes whatever time he needs with me. Bottom line, you have to take negative reviews with a grain of salt not know much about the reviewer.
My 88 year old father is a patient of Dr Goldberg for over a year now, and the experience has been horrible. He did a procedure last summer that was unsuccessful, went on vacation for a week, while my father remained hospitalized until he came back and repeated the procedure. Needless to say the second surgery was unsuccessful, three + weeks and four blood transfusions later, he came home in worse shape then he started. At the follow-up visit he said we would have to repeat the procedure in 3-4 months. We had tel-a-Med appointments that he called two hours late for, I’ve left messages that I want to speak to him and two weeks have passed...with no response. This man talks in circles, is obnoxious and arrogant, and incompetent. My father has had to have subsequent blood transfusions, and iron infusions, as a result of his neglect. I have tried to be patient, but this man should not be practicing medicine. He is completely unethical. I’m at the point that I am going to get his medical records and file a formal complaint with the medical board.
One star only because I had to...Would NOT RECOMMEND...He is one of the worst Drs I’ve ever dealt with. He talks in circles, and never follows up or returns calls. Performed two unsuccessful procedures on my elderly father and after four blood transfusions, he still is losing blood a year later...one blood transfusion and two iron infusions later this Dr still didn’t return my phone calls... when I have time and energy I will contact the medical board. This man has an ego that does not match his skills. I will not even go into the hours of wait time in his office and for tel-a- doc appointments. All I can say is think twice.
I am patient that called for an appointment because of illness. I was told that the doctor wasn’t seeing patients, it had to be a telehealth appointment, which I agreed to because I was feeling terribly ill. Given a telehealth appointment of 11:45 am 2 days later! The day of the appointment, doctor hadn’t called by 12:35pm, I called the office to be sure I wasn’t forgotten, was told I was still on the list and that he would probably call by 1:00pm, as he had patients in the office, hmm that was odd, I thought. By 3:30, the doctor hadn’t called, I called, only to find the office staff leave at 1:00pm. So, I continued to wait until 5:45pm, still no call. I left word with the service that I had a telehealth appointment at 11:45am and it was now 6:00pm with no call from the doctor. The next morning receive a call from the office with the offer of a telehealth appointment 2 days later! I explained that I was ill, I needed some relief and that waiting this long was only exacerbating the problem. I was then given a 3:00pm telehealth appointment for that day. Well at 4:30pm, I still had NOT heard from the doctor. It was not until I told the service that I was reporting this whole situation to the department of health that I did receive a call. Here’s where it gets more infuriating, the doctor calls me 2 times 2 minutes apart. He doesn’t leave a message the first time, and upon leaving a message the second time he says, “I called you a little while ago,” really?! Not one time did he say, I’m sorry that I kept you waiting... this is just abhorrent, and so unprofessional. Would not recommend.
gr goldberg is a great doctor takes his time is very compassionate makes you feel comfortable and he knows what he is doing 100 %
I know the Doctor for almost 20 years. Could not have a better urologist. A true professional and a credit to his profession.
Have been trying to reach Dr Goldberg since July 16th ...today is July 24th and have been waiting an hour for a telemedicine appointment. This is for my 87 year old father...Personable Dr. -but rude and unprofessional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
