Jason Tam's Online Review Report Card

I was meeting with a different department of Mt. Sinai Doctors and mentioned I have a hamstring strain. My doctor suggested perhaps Dr. Tam had a slot open while I was already on premises. He immediately agreed to see me as an unscheduled "walk-in" and treated me as if I was a long time patient. He assured me it was healing, advised me on what Medicare would allow in terms of procedures/tests and physical therapy, and said I could contact him if necessary. A really nice gesture by a doctor whose other reviews were equally glowing (5 stars).

I had a great experience visiting Dr. Tam. The office is clean, spacious and all the staff are very friendly and professional. Wait time is minimal. Dr. Tam is excellent. He is knowledgeable, takes time to listen and explains everything thoroughly. I feel extremely comfortable whenever I visit his office. His assistant Jessica is also friendly and helpful.

Dr Tam and his staff are amazing everyone was polite and Dr Tam provided great treatment for my finger . I totally advise everyone and anyone to come here. Took care of my paperwork for work quickly on the day I requested. Thank you so much Dr Tam and everyone else there at Mount Sinai.

For the past 30 years I’ve visited many orthopedic surgeons. Not one can compared to Dr. Tam for a number of reasons. Aside from the obvious his experience and knowledge, Dr. Tam took his time was informative and his bedside manner was impeccable. An most of all cured me from pain. Thank you Dr. Tam

Just saw Dr.Tam and had to write about my experience. First of all, his staff are top notch and same goes for Dr.Tam. Best orthopedic I've seen, PERIOD. Professional, courteous, and genuinely care about the well being for his patients. if your looking at ZocDoc or any other websites for the best Orthopedic doctor, give him a shot, you won't regret it. I waited 7 months looking for a Sports Medicine Specialist to work my shoulder tear and impingement. Luckily I was told of a new Ortho in our CVHP organization named Dr. Jason Tam. After reading his bio. and recommendations from other colleagues, I made an appointment with him. Knowing that I'll be 45 yrs old, he did remind me about wear & tear, but understood that I'm still young at heart. I wasn't ready to give up my daily activities. We tried various steps of treatment since surgery was the last resort. My shoulder was bad and I was down to my last option. Surgery was set at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital and it went great! He gave my wife a call with an update since she wasn't able to be there. That was very thoughtful of Dr. Tam. He then gave me a follow-up call 2 days after to see how I was doing. 2 weeks later, I'm ready to start physical therapy. The coolest part is he did the best he can to not scar my tattoos!

I had a severe cycling accident Sept. 1, 2017. Suffered an open distal radius fracture and grade 3 AC joint tear. I didn't know what would happen to me but upon meeting Dr. Tam that day, I felt assured I was in the right hands. He also reassured me that it would be fine and what he would do in my situation. I remember him pushing me in my bed into the O.R in the middle of the night before surgery as there was no orderly at the moment. He again calmed my nerves with his straight forward and confident demeanor. Dr. Tam would perform the open radius reduction and install a metal plate to secure the radial bones in place. Nothing was done with AC joint because Dr.Tam felt surgery outcome for it was comparable to leaving it alone.Dr. Tam is a skilled surgeon and I whole-heartedly recommend him. He is to the point and very personable. I can't say enough about the staff at his office as well. I was fortunate Dr. Tam was my surgeon that day and my wrist is recovering extremely well. Thank You Dr. Tam for being a great doctor and great person!
