What can one say about one of the Lords helpers. Not only an accomplished neurologist surgeon….yet a caring experienced Dr. that did his magic and saved another life this past week.Can’t say enough of his team - his hospital - the nurses who are insanely awesome.

He saved my husbands' life. I will always be grateful to him.

I want to express my sincere gratitude for Dr.Jeffrey Katz and his amazing team at Northwell Hospital for giving my mother a new lease on life. She was admitted to the ER for fainting spells and after numerous tests they found a bulge in a brain vessel due to a brain aneurysm. We were very alarmed, nervous and apprehensive to even operate. We had a consultation with Dr. Katz and his assistant Erin assured us the surgery was necessary and we felt confident having him work his magic. He performed the surgery (that included a stent being placed in her brain) and thank goodness mom is doing great! Thank you for your encouragement, tremendous skill, kindness and talented hands!! We are so beyond grateful to Dr.Katz, Erin and Trish!!! We appreciate you all and will be forever thankful. God bless you all.

This review is behalf of my husband and myself. We spent numerous nights and days in the emergency room and at doctor's office with my husband. He was in so much pain he sometimes couldn't move. We were scared that he would eventually not be able to have an independent life.Dr Katz performed his spinal stenosis surgery. The recovery was smooth. My husband was back to his normal self after. No debilitating pain after that.Dr KATZ deserves every good thing that the universe has to offer. He changed our lives. We are thankful.

I have been having the chronic need to urinate. No burning, no cloudy urine, no pain, no fever. I went here because Dr Katz is covered under my insurance. His assistant was telling me I need to get a mammogram. I'm 42. I told her I have no intention of getting one. This wasn't up for discussion with me and wasn't why I was wanting to be seen, but apparently this set the entire tone for my visit. I gave a urine sample to the assist than was seen by the Dr. When I was trying to review complications I have had from an IUD in the past letting the Dr know that the IUD gave me cysts, he basically didn't let me finish and proceeded to tell me that ovulation causes cysts. (Ovarian cysts are a common side effect of an IUD.) I wasn't talking about ovulation. I was letting him know I have an actual cyst on my ovary due to an IUD. He then proceeds to tell me that there are no hormones in a Mirena IUD, and Paraguard (the copper IUD which is the one I had) pushes that Mirena has hormones for marketing purposes. (There is Progesterone in a Mirena. You can look that one up for yourself.) He didn't listen to anything I had to say, at all. Cut me off every time I spoke. It gets better. So after my exam I get dressed and meet him in his office. He tells me I have a UTI and writes two prescriptions, one of them for antibiotics. I asked him what if the urine sample shows that I don't have a UTI? He then tells me "Tests aren't 100% accurate. If the medication doesn't fix the issue then you will know it wasn't a UTI." Um, excuse me? There are other causes of an over active bladder outside of a UTI which were not even discussed or ruled out. The entire visit was demeaning. The doctor has no idea of my history and didn't even bother to ask why I have no intention of getting a mammogram, and in his own words, testing isn't 100% accurate. I will never go to another male gynecologist again. If the urine sample returns in three days showing I do not have a UTI I will not be returning to this office. "Using an antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections." So, he airs on the side of caution by diagnosing me with a UTI and telling me I need a mammogram but refuses the extensive array of diagnostic testing available to rule out other potential possibilities for an over active bladder. I guess I will know how to proceed when the results come back. Do not go to this doctor and seek out someone who is actually willing to listen and ask questions.

AND TO THE NEUROLOGY STAFF OF THE NORTHWELL HEALT, Which is the best hospital in Long Islan and New York for the efficiency professionalism dedication in treating their patient with all care carefully the MD Katz radiates peace security of the first moment that I saw him, with all the faith in God and he knew that I would get well from my aneurysm operation, since he is a human being full of compression professionalism I felt confident with all the certainty that everything would be fine with him and his efficient team. 09/13/2018

They don't make obstetrician/gynecologists like this any more. Dr. Katz is simple the most skilled, kindest, smartest obstetrician anywhere. I post this on my son's 26th birthday. All care by Dr. Katz.

I have been a patient of Dr. Katz since 1991 - I could not ask for better OBGYN.  His office staff are always friendly and helpful.  Dr Katz is an amazing OBGYN.

Shady doctor. Very passive with his diagnostic methods and care. I had a huge tumor in my breast and he told me it was a cyst and not to worry about it. Well after repeatedly complaining about it, I went in for a mammogram and found it was stage 4 cancer! Discovered too late!  This doctor is dangerous and lazy. Ask him about anything and his answers are vague and useless. Have him as your obgyn to deliver your baby and he will force a csection to make more money! This guy is greedy and unethical. Do not go!

Dr. Katz was my OBGYN for the one year that I lived in Boston, and I could not have asked for a better experience. I ended up going past my due date and had encounters with almost everyone in the practice, and they were all great! Dr. Katz was great in listening to my concerns and making a treatment plan that resulted in the safe delivery of our baby. Couldn't recommend him enough!
