Stephen A. Tranchina's Online Review Report Card

STAY AWAY!!! I went to Dr. Stephen Tranchina for a regular check-up. I usually don't pay a penny for regular check-up exams but I got a bill from a lab. Apparently, it seems that Dr. Tranchina coded the labs as diagnostic when they were supposed to be preventative. My insurance has been trying to get in touch with this Dr FOR MONTHS to request a coding review for the orders he sent to Labcorp, but no results. Too many transfers and no results. That being said, I don't recommend this Dr. and this place. I have attached the screenshot of my Insurance texts and my last email I sent to his office's Billing Department so you can have your conclusion. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR. AND THIS PLACE!!!

Be extremely cautious and aware if you insist on hiring this doctor. Thank goodness our family intervened with her care because our parent needed specialists and Dr Tranchina's huge ego wouldn't acknowledge this. Another issue was simply talking to this man -- he clearly goes on the defense if family members have questions. Very unprofessional. When we called the office a few times for our parent's records, they rudely asked "What do you need them for?" trying very hard to intimidate us. Now our parent has an outstanding internist who welcomes the involvement of the family and is receiving excellent care.

Dr. Tranchina benefits patients with his vast experience that covers complex issues, w/out excessive process. Put simply, his mind cross references a wide body of firsthand experience that offers insight into our health & delivers good quality care. In my case he listened carefully to the complex issues I presented with, asked some questions, drew blood & diagnosed diligently & effectively with a game plan all within a few days. He replied to a few email inquiries quickly & continues to educate me, someone who suffers from insatiable health curiosity. You end up feeling comfort with such valued knowledge, skills, and empathy. His staff, peers & support redefine the meaning of health care, elevating it above best practice. No long waits or packed waiting rooms either. Summed up in one phrase: "They offer incomparable quality in every facet of their practice."

Never experienced such an ego-driven doc like @Dr. Tranchina. Our family tried to have a conversation with him about our elderly father's care, and instead of simply answering a few questions, it became about him and how dare we ask questions. He also should have sent our father to certain specialists and never did. We thankfully stopped our parent from using his services and moved on to excellent care and specialists -- easy to find in Nassau county. Stay as far away from this one as you can!

Arrived for 9AM appointment...blood was drawn, asked to change into a robe and waited for 45mins with no explanation. Finally left .... this doctor and medical center leave much to be desired.... there are better choices available

Dr. Tranchina is a Doctors Doctor he is the best. A legend.

Dr. Thranchina does not seem to develope a relationship with his patients to the point of not knowing the medicine format that the patient has been taking for years. Besides that his office staff is rude. I would not recommend this doctor.

Very personable and warm, Dr. Tranchina is one of, or if not the best internist that I have ever been to. He is execelent at diagnosing, treating and curing all your ailments. Along with all of my family and many friend, we thank you Dr. "T" for being there for us all... Paul T. Milana

My mom was not feeling well, drove herself to the drs parking lot and got short of breathe, called the office to tell them she was in the parking lot but very short of breathe. They told her to call 911, they did not even go to the parking lot to help her, nor call 911 for her. She went into respiratory failure at the hospital, when the drs in the hospital called to get her records from Trachina's office, they would not give them up, he said he faxed it and never did- 3 times. I went to get her records myself and he hands me 5 pages- shes been going to him for over 20 years, her medical record is not 5 pages. I would never recommend this quack DR to anyone.
