Familycare Medical Group's Online Review Report Card

On March 16th, 2022, we visited Dr. Vijaya Seepana for annual physical exam. She did similar checks on me and my wife plus lab work. She charged my visit as "annual physical exam" (which was correct), but charged my wife's visit as "regular doctor visit" (which resulted in a very high out-of-pocket bill). I contacted this office several times trying to get clarification either in person or via phone, but the front desk lady just kept playing games with me. Nothing happened after one month. Then I gave up. Here is my advice: The office staffs are not friendly and don't want to truly address your concerns. So don't choose this provider if you have other options. Keep away from Dr. Vijaya Seepana. She may charge your visit in unexpected way without advance notice.

Very neat and clean. They observe all COVID-19 rules. The weight was not that long, only about 5 minutes. The staff are very friendly and are willing to work with you if you cannot make payments at the time of service. There are four doctors on site. It's almost like urgent care at a local position atmosphere

The office staff here are incredibly unprofessional and rude. Do not ask any questions to the office staff or they find any way to get you out of their practice. Just go to the Family Care Medical Group at Upstate General Hospital. They are all polite, professional, and compassionate people. The extra drive is worth it.

I see Dr. Patel. She is charming, relaxed, and listens. The office in general is good and well run. The love affair ends there, and that is why I can only give two stars. As I was checking in on a recent visit, one of the office staff wasn't wearing a mask. You read that right. No mask. I asked the receptionist to ask her to put a mask on, and she turned around and relayed my message; and the staff member looked at me and said point-blank, "I'll put my mask on when I have clocked in and are ready to work." What? I said back, "what about respecting your fellow workers? And what about the patients?" She didn't hear me because we likely would have been shouting at each other if she did. I was only getting a blood test, but I would have walked out if she was the one doing it. I am still pretty salty about it, and with all the restrictions that are put in place to protect people, this is the last place I would expect to have this kind of issue. What is with these people that believe they are above the line? Why aren't the other staff members complaining? I like my doctor and want to stay as a patient, but I would like the office and Doctors to address this issue.

I’m not sure why so many negative reviews, but then again you can’t expect people to have enough self awareness to realize that most likely the real problem is actually them and their perception on reality…anyways… We love this practice. We have never had any wait time. My husband and I are patients. We bring our newborn here as well and feel everything is extremely clean and safe especially during Covid. Everyone in the front office is prompt and professional. Dr. Seepana is thorough, professional and is always sure to answer all of our questions in an informative manner. Especially as new parents we appreciate this. Overall it’s a great practice. I do know they went through some recent changes as the doctors are new and accepting patients etc. but so far we love everything about this office. Thank you for all you do!

Love the attention to detail with Dr. Coveney. She’s very clinical yet great at acknowledging your needs. Also, very thorough without wasting time. If she falls behind she APOLOGIZES even though she’s not all that late.

Waiting time is ridiculous, min 30 to 45 minutes. I like my doctor, but visits are real pain with waiting.

The staff were very kind, but horrible experience with the doctor. She would not let me finish a single sentence, was not listening to me, and refused me to see the specialist I was referred to see by another office.
