I love this doctor . I been with him since October an never have I has a problem. This is the only doctors office I have been to in massena that you don't have to sit an wait hours to be seen .. I love his staff also 😍.. you get right in an right out I love this place .. ❤️ Thank you doctor b an team for all you do
Absolutely the best dr I have had. I have been seeing him for about 2 years and anytime I need anything or have a question he is always there. Even on the weekends he gets back to me. Very easy to get ahold of and he actually cares about his patients!! /Always asking me how my family is and always seems to remember everything. Hands down?? best dr ever!! Thanks for being there whenever I have a question and also for being very understanding!! ????
I've been seeing Dr. Burnett for almost 4 years now. First it was specifically for M.A.T associated with my past addiction but he also became my PCP. He goes above and beyond to ensure his M.A.T. patients have the resources they need to stay clean. This includes an emergency number so that even when he is off he can still be reached for emergencies. There's a link on his website for the Serenity house, a house for AA/NA meetings where people can go and find extra support. I've referred many people to Dr. Burnett. Four years and I can't tell you how many emergencies he's taken the time to help me solve. Like anyone else he has days where he may be in a bad mood and people complain about that; but I see it as even with a doctorate he's still a human-being like the rest of us. He should be treated respectfully and I truly thank him for all the help and advice he's given me.
His staff are amazing. He took the time to get to know me, to understand what I need. He knew what he was talking about, and he helped me with a treatment plan that saved my life. I went from trying to unalive myself when I met him 7 years ago, to owning a home and business now. And I owe it all to him and his knowledge and his willingness to help me help myself. He has a great bedside manner most doctors in this area lack and a way of talking to people that let's you know you're heard and validated. I see negative comments on here and I can assure you that they are because they were seeking something he wouldn't give. I have never in 7 years had a bad experience at MFP or with Dr.B.
He is a wonder physician and he truly cares about patients needs and concerns. 10/10 recommended
I used to defend this man. People would LAUGH OUT LOUD when I'd share who my primary care physician is. I no longer defend this practice; it has earned its reputation. Last week, when I asked for a routine work physical for a new position, I was told "the doctor cannot perform work physicals" because there's no money to be made and insurance won't pay for them. I was pushed away to Mountain Medical. Burnett's office has performed work physicals for me before, and even a physical to become a Foster Parent. Within a couple days, I received a letter DISMISSING ME AS A PATIENT because I allegedly asked the doctor to commit fraud by performing a work physical without an evaluation. I was more than happy to come in for an appointment, and was practically begging for one, so I could just get my new-hire requirements over with. I was also willing to pay for the physical myself, as I know my insurance would not cover a work physical. They refused to serve me, they refused to let me view my own records, and they refused to even look at the form I needed completed. Why would I want to go to another office for a work physical and have to retell all of my health information to another provider? My new employer stated they would accept a copy of my last physical, as long as it was within 12 months. They wouldn't provide that either (even though I've had one), so I had to go pay for another one. I'm not angry, just disappointed. All of this over a one-page form, stating I have no communicable diseases or work restrictions.

Find a good Doctor. Not this Jerk.
I know for sure that there are people here posting negatively because they didn't get the prescriptions they were seeking or had unreal expectations. As far as I've seen, in many visits with Dr. John S Burnett, he is excellent at his job and all of the staff are very nice and helpful, and I couldn't imagine any decent person giving them a bad review. Also there are 2 doctors with this same name in Massena alone, and after reading the reviews I can see plainly that some were meant for the other Dr. With the same name.
I came to this Dr. From Dr.Franks due to him being closer to my home and was told he was an excellent Dr. First thing he told me was he would not change my meds up until the other day when he decided to do just that. So i mentioned that to him and he said "that was then this is now" so now im back on meds that make me not feel well and are not for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
