Dr Gerber has been my husbands Orthopedic Surgeon for years and has successfully performed both hips replacements. The recovery was exactly as Dr Gerber said it would be. He has been more than kind and understanding, friendly and pleasant every time we’ve seen him. He is professional and very knowledgeable and completely confident. Dr Gerber will not disappoint.

When we first met with Dr. Gerber, he took time to listen to our concerns & answer all questions regarding a total hip replacement. Surgery was exactly as he described. The LIJ Valley Stream facility where the surgery was conducted was outstanding. The private room, the staff, food & care was exceptional. At the 2-week follow up visit with Dr. Gerber, he took time to listen & once again answer all of our questions. Our opinion is that Dr. Gerber is highly skilled & very affable. He made us feel very comfortable each time we met with him. The wait time during our scheduled appointment was minimal. We highly recommend him.

Dr Gerber is arrogant and does not like to be questioned. At one appointment when I was explaining my symptoms he said, "I don't have time for a long story." He also told me to stop talking. Then, when he was explaining the surgery, I asked if it was done in a hospital, and he said, "let me finish." I have since gone to another doctor whom I love and he will be performing hip surgery soon.

Dr. Gerber is arrogant and doesn't like to be questioned. When I was explaining my symptoms to him he said, "I don't have time for a long story." At one point, he told me to stop talking. I have since gone to another surgeon who listened to my concerns, and I have hip replacement surgery scheduled soon.

Hmmm so far no one made up my knee replacement after I went for the cat scan. hospital keeps calling me to set up time for my procedure but Dr Gerber’s secretary called let me know my replacement was never made.I I blocked out 5 weeks with my job at Nassau community college and now it looks like a no go because no one knows what they are doing. Very shady. Not confident at all. Suppose to have surgery tomorrow.

I am preparing for knee surgery in the Fall. I was assessed by other Orthopedic Dr. But, I chose Dr. Gerber, because of the good reviews and excellent bedside manners.

Dr Gerber did my hip replacement 7 years ago and he is absolutely amazing. Very caring and understanding. I was told I needed both knees replaced and the knee specialist I saw said the doctor he was recommending to do the surgery is Dr Gerber. I was thrilled knowing I would be in good hands once again.

Performed right hip replacement April 2019. Dr. Gerber is very professional. Eased my mind with his explanation and description prior to surgery. He has a wonderful demeanor and attitude making you feel very comfortable. I felt like a new person shortly after the operation which for the most part was painless. It's now been two and a half years and everything I did prior to my hip issues is now back to normal. Actually the recovery time was very quick. He is definitely a five star Orthopedic

I had a hip replacement in 2009. I am still going strong. Dr. gerber is the best. He spends a lot of time with his patients, and has a great bedside manner.

I went yesterday March 18, 2021 to see Dr. Gerber for my hips. I've had 2 doctors confirm that I needed surgery. Dr. Gerber states that there is nothing wrong with my hips. The x-rays show that my "hips are in better condition than his". That is the first issue the 2nd one is he tells me to "Stop being so dramatic, when I questioned him about what he saw or didn't see in the x-rays". I was pacing a little cause I am and have been in lots of pain for a very long time, and again he tells me...."Stopped stressing it and calm down"... how dare he talk to me like that. I called in to give a complaint into the office where he works. Mind you, I have seen other doctors there and they have been great and the staff also, no complaints. But Dr. Gerber I feel is not compassionate, understanding and/or patient. Does not know to get his point across without making you feel like a child. I highly (DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM). Never again, I should have said something to him there, but I was in shock and couldn't believe what he had said to me. Hope people read this and avoid him completely. I had to hit a STAR to be able to post this, but HE GETS NO STARS FROM ME ZERO
