He repaired my rotator cuff. The worst experience I had. He is so pompas . I had to back for a frozen shoulder. He never told me how pt was important All in all I wound not let him treat my dog
Treats me very nice always. Thank you. Dr of urology Dr Murat
Did my two shoulders when no one else would touch me cause they said I couldn’t be fixed. He’s the best orthopedic in the industry and I recommend him wholeheartedly. I’m 100% fixed thanks to his skills as a surgeon and my obedience in following instructions after surgery!! That’s also key!! I always recommend him . My husband just had two meniscus repaired by Doc Levitz .
Dr Levitz is an amazing doctor. His staff is outstanding and very knowledgeable. I travel from Florida just to see Dr Levitz because of his new and innovative techniques I have had severe knee pain and in need of a knee replacement, but these injections leave me “pain free”. I would highly recommend him and his staff
I had ACL reconstruction surgery done by Dr Levitz. He prepared me for the surgery & stayed involved all the way through PT. Not only checking in with my therapist but also calling me to check in & make sure I was ok. I am back on the baseball field & feel better than ever, thanks to Dr. Levitz.
2 years ago dr Levitz did my knee replacement and I resumed playing golf in 2 1/2 months and tennis in 3 months. The replacement continued to get get better and I’ve been grateful for his work. I have since recommended him to many and have read about his lack of bedside manner. While probably true I recommend him highly for his surgical skills for my quality of life. Bedside manner is quite secondary to a successful surgery!
I wish I had read these reviews about Craig Levitz before wasting my time seeing him. The descriptions of his ego centric personality and impersonal patient interaction are totally accurate. I went to him because I was having increasing knee pain in both knees. At my first visit to him, he suggested that I get new MRIs of both knees before making any decision of how to proceed. I knew I had torn meniscus in both knees from previous MRIs 3 years ago. He strongly urged me to use his MRI machines saying that they are specially made for extremity images. When I went for the MRI, the technician said that was mpt true. I preferred to go back to the office that had done the prior images so the radiologist could write a comparison. He convinced me to use one of the Orlin and Cohen sites to have my MRI. The doctor who interpreted the images wrote the briefest report compared to others who have read my MRIs. At my second visit, Dr. Levitz told me I needed gel injections with a steroid injection first to deal with my swollen knee. I told him another doctor had prescribed that I have arthroscopic meniscus repair. He commented that doing that would not help and he was surprised that the doctor I named would even suggest that. He said I was too old to have a meniscus repair. In addition, I have a medical problem that makes steroid use highly risky. He was not at all interested in my total well being and told me I had 2 minutes to make up my mind about the steroid shot because he was leaving. I overheard him tell his staff he wanted to get to the gym to work out with his son. When I decided to risk taking the steroid shot the assistant told me that the PA would be giving me the shot. I told her that Dr Levitz said he gave me 2 minutes to decide so I assumed he would be doing the injection into my knee. He walked to the door of the examining room and said he never does the shots because it hurts his thumb. ( I couldn’t make that up.) I asked him why he gave me 2 minutes and he said that his PA leaves ahead of him and that was what he meant. He is deceitful. I grew increasingly uncomfortable with the idea of putting my health in the hands of a doctor who conducted himself in this smug manner and told his assistant I would be leaving. She gave me a hug asking me to reconsider. He was already gone.
Dr. Levitz is one of the most unprofessional doctors I have ever met. He has a horrible bedside manner, and his interest is not about the patient, but rather about making money. He will order injections that cost thousands of dollars and try and push you for surgery. He will only request that you get an MRI in Orlin and Cohen which he owns the MRI location in the building which lines his pockets twice. He will not put his hands on you for an examination, but will try and tell you he knows it all

He will only request that you get an MRI in Orlin and Cohen which he owns the MRI location in the building which lines his pockets twice. He will not put his hands on you for an examination, but will try and tell you he knows exactly what is wrong with you. I bought into all this and ended up have surgery that was not successful. When I went back to him multiple times he advised me it is all fine and there is nothing to worry about. After months went by and he realized there was nothing he could do as a result of his unsuccessful operation, he quickly advised my insurance that I met maximum medical improvement without discussing this with me first. This is not the kind of doctor you want doing your surgical procedures.
Every appointment I had with Dr. Levitz lasted less than 5 min. I ended up having surgery on my shoulder with him after seeing him several times. He claims that no one ever has problems after his surgeries and when you tell him about an issue you are having he blames it on the physical therapy location. This man thinks he is a G-D and that no one is greater than him. Time to get off your high horse and spend some time with your patients and answer their concerns professionally.
