Dr Tsai was fantastic, surgery went well. But when I needed a Dr note filled out for my job NYC Employee, Dr Tsai told me to give to his nurse and she would take care of me, the nurse told me to give to lady at front desk, front desk told me there is a unit secretary that does all the paperwork & it will take 5 to 10 business days to get done. What the hell??? Now what do I show my job. I can't get cleared for work until I show them my Dr says I am medically clear for work. Losing days of pay because none wants to do something that literally takes less than 2 minutes. Not to mention, I have been here plenty of times over the years to see different orthopedics and never have I experienced this. Also as a manager for over18 years, when paperwork goes through multiple hands there is a high percentage it's gonna get screwed up. Dumbest system ever. Also why are secretaries seeing my medical records, isn't this a violation of hippa law??? (Patient/Dr confidentiality)???
Don't worry about being on time for your appointment. In fact be an hour late, I'm sure you will still wait whether you have an 8am or 5:30pm appt. They don't care if you are late to work or leave your job early to make you wait. I wonder if the staff does this to their hairdresser, barber, dentist or anyone else who works by appointments. Shame on you Crystal Run, get your $hi+ together and start caring about the people who pay for you to get a paycheck.
Today I had an 8 am appointment with my Doctor it's now almost 8:30 as I write this post If I walked in an 1/2 hour to an hour late They wouldn't see me they would be Justified in doing so ! This medical place the doctors can walk in "Anytime" they want to or feel like it When you go to Albany Medical It's an entirely different story there They usually take you on time or close to it ! Not at Crystal Run ! Make sure you clear your day when you come Here !
Not very happy with their radiology department right now. I've been waiting 45 minutes for my MRI and they just told me they are behind. They should really call people and let them know if they are running behind. It's always hurry up and wait with crystal run. They don't care about your time only theirs. They rush you out of appointments instead of sitting and listening to your concerns. Gotta get that insurance money...
In December, 2020, nine days before Christmas and just as the pandemic was soaring, I received an email from Crystal Run Healthcare, stating that they had decided to stop accepting my insurance (a well-known insurance, utilized by millions of New Yorkers). I had been a cardiology patient at Crystal Run for over twenty years, and had a deteriorating aortic valve that would need to be replaced soon. I called Crystal Run and explained my situation. The representative who spoke with me responded coldly, "Well, you'll just have to change your insurance." I decided, instead, to change my provider...happily, my aortic valve has since been replaced and I received excellent care, with far fewer of the hassles that "come standard" at Crystal Run. For years, you couldn't drive down Route 17 without being bombarded with Crystal Run signs that said, "We want you healthy!" What I learned is that Crystal Run couldn't care less about your health...what they really want is to maximize profits at any cost, and patient health be damned. My insurance is about to change, to one accepted by Crystal Run. However, I will not be going back. Never again.
Most types of care under one roof = convenient but... Went to primary once then Urgent Care twice for EXTREME pain. They label my visit as unspecified cough (?) and did a urinalysis on 1st & 2nd visit; x-ray and CT scan on 2nd visit and sent me home. All the while I had a fractured T10 vertebrae and now? Two weeks later, no call, no email response to my numerous calls and emails. When I scheduled to see an orthopedic doctor, the wait was over a month. So...here I sit, waiting, in extreme pain with no "care" from anyone at Crystal Run. Now? I am searching for new medical care elsewhere.
This is BY FAR the worst health care organization I have ever dealt with. No one calls back EVER, there is 0 communication within the organization itself regards to coordinating treatment for patients. After YEARS of putting up with this nonsense I am DONE and would rather drive far and go somewhere else than deal with the incompetence. I visited this office, the Dr ordered an MRI urgent, because he was concerned about a finding. MRI was scheduled for 2 days from that date. When that date came, I go to my MRI and they won't do it because they did not have insurance approval. They told me to wait a few days and they would get approval and call me to reschedule. A week later they have not gotten the approval. I called my insurance company to find out what the issue was, and they explained that Crystal Run never responded back to any of their requests for the reason why the MRI was ordered to begin with. I call Crystal Run back and of course after waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I get someone on the phone who has no clue and says there's nothing they can do except send a message to the Dr and wait for a call back. I wait 2 days, still no call back. Now I call back again and they tell me they will send another message to the Dr. Insane that sick people have to deal with this and no one cares. There's no one to speak with EVER, and nobody knows anything. It's IMPOSSIBLE to ever get a hold of the correct person. LITERALLY INSANE. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
In all my years of being a patient at Crystal Run I have never met or been treated by a doctor who was so rude to me. I will never go back to Crystal Runs ENT department. The doctor had no bed side manor, drew conclusions without an examine. Once confronted with facts and reports from other doctors he said their findings were wrong. He was arrogant and rude. He rushed the appointment. He made you feel like we were taking up too much of his time. Horrible experience.
Yes, I was there for my 32 week on 8/02/2023 at 1pm sonagram and had to reschedule my weekly appointments due to my work schedule and when I went to one of the ladies whose name I didn't get but know the young lady has been working for CRHC for a few years told me she didn't have time to reschedule my appointments bc she was to busy at the time she can reschedule three at the time and when I come back I can reschedule the rest. I looked behind me thinking there were others waiting nope I was the only one needing service so then she prints me out my future appointments paper and says I'm goitng to highlight the ones I made bc it's going to take me awhile to cancel out these other appointments. So now now I ve been contiplating should I write a review bc I felt like the worker was being lazy and she was rude and made me feel like I was bothering her. Hopefully next time she won't be at the desk or I will be speaking up bc in the end this is her job.
This place is a nightmare. The kindest thing I can say... you don't rise to the top of your class to practice medicine at Crystal Run.Avoid them, you're doing yourself a favor in the long run.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
