In 1993 my husband visited him complaining that he was unable to have a bowel movement and excruciating stomach pains. Each time John prescribed pills for a stomach virus. When my husband was doubled over in pain I took him to the ER...it was stage 4 colon cancer and he was dead in eleven months. John did not take any tests, if he had maybe my husband would have had a fighting chance. I was left a widow with two young children and a Sloan Kettering bill for $500,000 since they didn't accept our insurance and were the only facility that had a chemo that may have helped. I had to sell our home to pay the bills. I would never give John the honor of calling him doctor. Maybe doctor death.

Saw Dr Carey for the first time via urgent care after a fall 10 days prior. He was friendly and attentive. He had me take xrays and showed them to me and explained what he saw and didn’t see. Ordered an MRI and called me two days later with results and recommendation for orthopedic doctor. Also saw my mom for an separate issue she was having and she had the same experience. Highly recommend Dr Carey ! Entire Staff at urgent care was also very friendly and attentive as well

Dr. Carey is a great listener and very affable ...he deals with all his patients on a very personal basis and time is never a factor...he wants to speed you on your way to recovery whatever your ailments, sickness or trauma might be...He has tremendous experience and has seen thousands of patients over the years and has become a great diagnostician in the process..You will feel reassured and take the first steps to recovery after seeing him which I highly recommend...

I have been a patient of Dr. Carey for over 20 years. He is a kind, caring Doctor and takes the time to listen and answer questions before suggesting treatment options.. He is very understanding and down to earth. I would recommend him to anyone who asked.

Dr Carey is a no nonsense direct caregiver. It's not in his nature to sugar coat but his warm and genuine. Excellent, unintimidating with adolescents.
