List of John Podeszwa's Reviews
The worst medical communicator I've ever experienced. Post procedure review consisted of 3 to 5 words as he poked his head through the curtain and left. I was not able to get a prognosis or question asked. Two years later I found that I actually a situation that needed further care from another doctor. Totally unacceptable.
Extremely rude doctor and staff, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Dr. Podeszwa does not take any extra time to explain or offer emotional support. I was told I had a fatty liver and when I asked what that meant and how to improve it he pointed to the screen with number ranges and said "You have too much fat in your liver". How to improve? "Eat healthy". The facility at Middletown Medical is very unorganized and they did not relay information from an ultrasound I had a week prior. When I went in for my second appointment with Dr. Podeszwa he acted as if it were the first and repeated the same information. When mentioning that I already had the ultrasound in which he prescribed he said, "No you didn't otherwise it would be in the system". Finally after he made some calls, they sent some information over and he read one number to me and did not apologize for telling me I was lying. I left feeling that my time was wasted, enraged by the whole offices demeanor, and confused about how to best support my health after a tick bite and challenging symptoms.
My patient has had some recent fecal incontinence, and I referred him to Dr. Podeszwa for an evaluation. Dr. Podeszwa wrote that he should see a "Tertiary Center for Anorectal Anomalies". Correct me if I am wrong, but this is what Colonoscopies are for. It is apparent that Dr. Podeszwa can't be bothered with this patient. f
Just no.
Dr. Podeszwa is a great guy and wonderful Doctor who works with a great team at Middletown Medical. We have just expanded our GI staff to include a Liver and Pancreases specialist Dr. B. Patel.
Friendly staff
I saw this doctor in his office , he was very quite but very professional and knew exactly what was wrong with me. I went to several other doctors before that I felt they just were doing tests to get the money. Never felt better !
I've had several colonoscopies by Dr. Podeszwa over the past years and hostilely thought he was the utmost professional including the nurses and staff... I haven't had any medical issues regarding so my only interaction was the colonoscopy and the Doctors dietary suggestions afterwards. They did enjoy my sense of humor about me me loosing my car keys as well as a matchbox car that I lost when I was 7 :) I would recommend Dr. Podeszwa and I'm making an appointment as we speak (type)
Very unprofessional "physician". he is the worst i have ever been to,so bad to the point that i got up and walked out of the office .
I called my Doctor's office to speak to my doctor and he was on call. He was extremely rude and did absolutely nothing for me! He made me feel as if i had interupted his day and he did nit way to be bkthered with helping me in any way. As i said before i o ly spoke with him on the phone and i would not recommend any to see him. Very uncaring doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
